mizer Posted August 18, 2008 Author Report Posted August 18, 2008 Found the correct spelling of his name: Quido Landzaat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quido_Lanzaat Quido Lanzaat (born 30 September 1979) is a Dutch football (soccer) player currently (as of June 2007) playing for Bulgarian club PFC CSKA Sofia as a defender. Born in Amsterdam, Lanzaat is a product of the AFC Ajax football academy. With Ajax, he has played in the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League and was capped for his country at youth and under-21 level. In early 2000, he moved to Germany to play for Borussia Mönchengladbach and in 2002 he was transferred to Alemannia Aachen; with that team, he reached the final of the DFB-Pokal in 2004. In 2004 he was acquired by TSV 1860 München. His last team before moving to Bulgaria in the summer of 2007 was MSV Duisburg, for whom he played in the 2006-07 season. As a Borussia Mönchengladbach player, Lanzaat was involved in a drug scandal. Tetrahydrocannabinol was detected in his blood during a doping test, indicative of hashish use. As a result, he was banned from playing football professionally for three months. Hes a junkie! Quote

baggy89 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Anyone who calls it "todders" is a gay poof. As opposed to a straight poof? But aye sounds like something an English knob would say. "Off to Todders to see the chaps play soccer, toodle pip, tally ho, etc..." Anyway, the dutch trialist, he sounds alright, didn't Inglis got to Sofia from us? Lets hope the standard of player they sign is better now than it was then. Quote

mizer Posted August 19, 2008 Author Report Posted August 19, 2008 Is it foggy up in the Deen or has he just lit up a spliff? http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/39/5b/0,,10284~3758905,00.jpg[/img] Aberdeen has taken Dutch defender Quido Lanzaat on trial. The 28-year-old, who is a product of the Ajax Youth Academy, has played for Ajax, Borussia Monchengladbach and 1860 Munich. The player is available on a free transfer after being released by Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia. Lanzaat has represented Holland at Youth and Under-21 level and can play at centre half and right back. ??? Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Sounds promising, 28 years old so he's at a decent age, is available on a free, and has experience of different leagues. Only real downside, he's not played that many games in his career, less than 100, which is pretty poor for a 28 year old defender. Played for some decent clubs though so it's understandable. Hard to pass judgement until we see him play. Fingers crossed he can solve our right-back problem. Quote
manc_don Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 You don't get moves to so many decentish sides for being shite, so there must be something good. We desperately need to address the right back issue and i'm glad to see the club is actively doing so with minimum fuss! Fingers crossed he could be a bit of a find! Quote

If we take this lad then i'll be pretty content with the squad we have. A natural winger would be nice but im still hopefull jeffrey will stand up and be counted this year Quote
