??? Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 The team is now looking a little more balanced, and looks pretty good on paper. --------------------Langfield--------------------- Foster/Hodgkiss---Diamond----Severin------Mulgrew Smith----------Kerr-------McDonald---------Aluko --------------Mackie-------Miller----------------- Some decent back-up from the bench as well. Harcus Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Mulgrew and Aluko - best left side in the division. Quote
rednek Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Welcome back sone. Awesome news. A VERY attacking left side now. Mackie might even get double figures now with that supply. Quote
??? Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Mackie might even get double figures now with that supply. Steady on son. Quote
Biggalloot Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Mulgrew and Aluko - best left side in the division. Couldn't agree more. Any idea why he changed his mind. Thought he was a brummie lad thru and thru and although he loved last season he wanted to make an impact at Birmingham. Like busses wait for a decent left sided player and two come along at once! He probably loved playing in Europe so much last season, he decided to move to a club that has more chance of playing in European competition. Quote

Biggalloot Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Zindine Zidane to come out retirement a declare himself as a life long aberdeen fan? Quote
??? Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 By the way, the deal for Aluko is reportedly £50k. An absolute bargain, especially so on a three-year deal. If he does impress and attract interest, then we'll get some money for him should we look to sell. No-one seen this coming, still curious how JC/WM have pulled this out of the bag. After today, we should really look to sign Mulgrew for a further year. These two will give us a very strong left-hand side. Quote
mizer Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Aberdeen Director of Football Willie Miller is delighted that the England Under 19 international has agreed to return to the north east. I would also like to publicly thank Alex McLeish for his assistance throughout the negotiations as that was instrumental in ensuring everything went smoothly." Cheers Alex and well done Willie! Quote

No need to listen to 'through the window' tonight in the impossible hope that we make a dramatic late signing. The guy who announced it as a done deal earlier in the day on KKK chat has said it may not be finished tonight with regards to us and transfers. Maybe he should be trusted after he had this scoop but you know what like!! Quote

baldrick_sheep Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Absolutely delighted with this! Never thought he would even be back on loan after birmingham got relegated so its a real good piece of business to get him so cheap. Quote
