stubo72 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/845254 "ABERDEEN assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl has vowed to develop Richard Foster into the complete player." Erm... if they reckon that is possible what have they been waiting for then?!?!?! Quote
Kowalski Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Should this be in the "Comedians" thread? Quote

Guest swaddon Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 foster can be the best at what? . . . . . . The best to have about the place? Nicholl is going to teach him to be a right laugh. Quote
Sandaldinho Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 yep, he's going to be the best.....boot boy? groundsman? stadium cleaner?.....possibly football player.....not a chance! sorry guy's, i can admit that the guy has passion and works hard but he lacks the ability and makes too many BASIC ERRORS. unless there is a miracle at pitodrie then i'm afraid there ain't no chance! willie_millers-barmyarmy Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 With fosters pace, i can see where nicholls coming from........ he has a lot to learn tho. Quote
stonefish100 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Anyone (going to admit) to watching Hun TV for the reserves game? Someone on MAD saying Hodgkiss played very well. I watched the 2nd half last night. Hodgekiss was ok, neat and tidy and seemed to be able to do the basics of defending better than Foster, I'd definitely have him in at the weekend. The worrying thing about the reserve game was the style of play we adopted even at that level. It was exactly the same fitba that the 1st team play, kick and rush. The Huns were getting it down and playing it, ours was all sideways passing across midfield, shift it back to the defenders and pump it up front. Fucking dire to watch and shows that there is not one coach at the club who is capable of getting us to play passing football. Duff was bad as was JDV, very pedestrian. Maguire looked ok and Diamond looked fit and ready for the 1st team. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 as was JDV, very pedestrian And this from the man who vowed to show the Red Army just what he is all about this season. Waste of money, he's been. Another journeyman who nobody else wanted. Along with Duff and Mair. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Its never gonna happen, he had another shocker today unfortunately. Distribution and tackling are almost non-existent. Quote
Millers Tache Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 See, i thought Foster was quite good today (relatively). The thing that annoys me is the whole "let's retrain him to play right back" pish. He's been playing left back for 2 years. He's right footed (and a striker apparently). Surely right back's the same as playing left back, only using your natural foot instead... Quote
mizer Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Im with Millers Tache I thought he had a decent game (for his ability and being in not his correct position) and worked a fair bit. Had a better game than his counterpart Mulgrew of the other side of the park. Quote
