Ajja Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I suspect that the top 6 places will end up as they are at present with Killie, UTD, Hearts and Hibs taking up the 4 places. Quote
Kowalski Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 The only bright side is that we're only 6 points from 3rd, but we must win against Falkirk. Quote
BigAl Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 The only bright side is that we're only 6 points from 3rd, but we must win against Falkirk. Agreed, but at the same time, I for one wouldn't stake good money on it. As has been said before this game has a Lovell winner written all over it Quote
tom_widdows Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Lovell Hat trick more like But ya never know he could injure himself in training. But then again Falkirk probably train on nice flat grassy surfaces whereas it would appear the dons train on the the film locations for watership down and saving private ryan Quote
RnP Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Would be less surprised if Jackie Mac found the net against us than Lovell Bottom of the league eh ? Wonder how long it will take the inbred west coast "sports writers" to crank their bullshit into hyperdrive Quote

Guest onlyjim Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Law of averages we have to win one. Look at today against the Huns. Never loose hope. God for a while yon goal mouth was like a game of Twister Quote

Aberdeen_Ladette Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 On a negative note, not great being out and being ripped for being bottom of the table I totally empathise mizer!. I just can't wait to go back to work on Tuesday for even more comments extracting the urine! My usual euphoria from the huns losing was curtailed due to us going bottom of SPL, but not to the degree I would have expected Listening to the game on the radio I was willing St M to hold on to the win in the agonising last few minutes Quote

Phil Connors Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 4 points from the next 3 games as an absolute minimum before JC is given a final warning I'd say. It's all fine and well JC talking about balls flying into the box and no-one getting on the end of them, but the bottom line is football is a simple game about scoring goals and if your strikers/players aren't getting on the end of them, then quite simply something has to give. Clubs are judged on results and not how bonnie they tend to play in the first two-thirds of the pitch. Defensive frailties apart, 4 goals from open play in the 8 league game we've played (7 in total; 2 free-kicks and a penalty) is unacceptable having had 5 of our 8 games at home so far. It's pretty obvious to a sizeable amount of us that Mackie and Miller are not the way forward. Kilmarnock at home in 4 weeks is the critical one. Fail to win that game and it will be squeaky bum time for Calderwood. Quote

We are having to score 3 a game to break even, no matter who is scoring. Quote

Guest onlyjim Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 the reserves have lost all but one game this season so far so they must be pretty near if not at the bottom as well. Quote
