Guest RedRichard Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 final at the city stadium, manchester. lots of info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Cup_2007-08 Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Great. Not that far to travel then...... Quote
Guest severininho Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 There's a lot of quality in the draw for the first round, even half the teams in the second qualifying round have the beating of us... I just hope we either come up against a beatable side or a giant like Fiorentina, Galatasary or Bayern Munich. Will be amazing if we somehow managed to get to the group stages though Quote
Guest seve_no1 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 it would be gr8 if we got bayern munich as i wasnt alive the last time they came calling. altho we probably wouldnt reach the group stage in that case, r bohemians in the uefa cup this year? cause am sure we'd thump them at pittodrie this time! Guest swaddon Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Nivver mind the first round or the group stages, we're going to win the tournament! I'll be taking my seat at Eastlands or whatever it'll be called next year to watch Russell Anderson lift the UEFA Cup. Quote
Drewsome Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Swaddon, That rates an applause fae this Red Blooded Don! Quote
paulmason Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Only 31 days til the draw!! Looking over that list is a mouthwatering prospect, but depressing at the same time. Blackburn, Hamburg and Atletico Madrid all in the qualifiers... A team fae a sunny spot in europe will do me nicely! Quote
Guest innesciver Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 It would be good to reach the group stages. I would like more than one round though. How many ties do we need to win to get to the gropus??? Quote
Fergie83 Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 It would be good to reach the group stages. I would like more than one round though. How many ties do we need to win to get to the gropus??? Em I think we just have to win one tie then were in the groups. One home leg and one away leg. Correct me if im wrong Quote
Sweetchuck Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Yup. We enter in the first round proper, which is the stage before the groups are drawn. Quote
Drewsome Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Can't wait! Bring 'em on. I wanna go to Manchester this spring! Quote
Holyjoe Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 I forget how these things work... but we may (or may not?) be seeded, and thus will face one of these sides? Otelul Galati (Romania) v Lokomotiv Sofia (Bulgaria) CFR Cluj (Romania) v Anorthosis (Cyprus) Rabotnicki (Macedonia) v Partizan Belgrade (Serbia)/Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia) * Slaven (Croatia) v Galatasaray (Turkey) Uniao Leiria (Portugal) v Maccabi Netanya (Israel) Hajduk Split (Croatia) v Sampdoria (Italy) Besa Kavaje (Albania) v Litex Lovech (Bulgaria) Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel) v Kayserispor (Turkey) Atletico Madrid (Spain) v Vojvodina (Serbia) Siroki Brijeg (Bosnia) v Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel) Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus) v CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria) Basel (Switzerland) v Mattersburg (Austria) Ried (Austria) v FC Sion (Switzerland) MIKA (Armenia) v Artmedia (Slovakia) Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine) v Belchatow (Poland) Honved (Hungary) v Hamburg SV (Germany) Young Boys (Switzerland) v Racing Lens (France) Tobol Kostanai (Kazakhstan) v Groclin (Poland) Austria Vienna (Austria) v Jablonc (Czech Republic) Zlate Moravce (Slovakia) v Zenit St Petersburg (Russia) Rapid Vienna (Austria) v Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia) MyPa Myllykoski (Finland) v Blackburn Rovers Drogheda United (Ireland) v Helsingborg (Sweden) Metalurgs (Latvia) v AIK (Sweden) HJK Helsinki (Finland) v AaB Aalborg (Denmark) Ekranas (Lithuania) v Valerenga (Norway) Dunfermline Athletic (Scotland) v Haecken (Sweden) Brann Bergen (Norway) v Suduva (Lithuania) Haka Valkeakoski (Finland) v Midtjylland (Denmark) Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) v Odense (Denmark) Kaerjeng (Luxembourg) v Standard Liege (Belgium) Fredrikstad FK (Norway) v Hammarby (Sweden) Not sure what to make of Dunfermline's chances... they're facing a recently-relegated Swedish outfit who only qualified via the UEFA Fair Play table. They'll both be happy with their draw. Quote
