The Reds boss reckons the future ‘looks rosy’ for Aberdeen as his summer signings begin to hit top form. With four successive home wins, the Dons are the SPL’s in-form home club. But Calderwood promised the best has yet to come, especially with stars Jamie Smith and Sone Aluko returning to training today after injury. He said: “Aberdeen are on the verge of something good. The team is beginning to click. “Our new signings are settling in and playing really well now. “On top of that we have Jamie Smith and Sone Aluko returning to full training today. “Hopefully, they will be available for Saturday’s trip to Inverness. “The future is certainly looking rosy for Aberdeen. “We have also closed the gap on Hearts and Dundee United to six points. “Aberdeen have a game in hand over United, and host Hearts at Pittodrie in two weeks, so it will be exciting times.†Calderwood also hailed his summer signings, as he reckons they have made a huge impact at the club. “The new players are now doing well, and only time will tell if this has been my most successful summer in the transfer market,†he said. “I had taken in six new players and it is not easy to settle at a big club like this, it takes time. “But now we are finding real consistency. “Gary McDonald is a great player but even he was taken aback by the size of the club. “He sat out a few games but has been fantastic recently, and is making a real impact with his late runs into the box. “He will get goals for Aberdeen this season. “Mark Kerr has phenomenal energy levels, Charlie Mulgrew is finding his feet and Sone Aluko has been named Young Player of the Month. That is nearly half a team. “They are all young as well.†With four straight home wins, Aberdeen’s Pittodrie form is in stark contrast to a dire start to the season, where they claimed just one point from the opening five home games. But Calderwood insists he always knew their rocky start was a blip. “Although we did go bottom of the league for a short period, it looked a lot worse than it was,†he said. “That has been proven with our recent form.†French keeper Bertrand Bossu was also set to return to training today after being sidelined through injury. Tommy Wright is responding well to treatment for an Achilles injury, while Stuart Duff is also recovering well after a knew operation. Quote

It's as though they've got a couple of hundred generic phrases, they pull them out of a hat, string them together, add in a couple of current player names and voila, an article.
