sheep_shagger
Saw this in the Sunday Mail yesterday that a reported 50K bid was going in. He is popular with the fans and they rate him quite highly. Dont think i've ever seen him play so will search for more informed opinions. mizer
Gary Harkins (born January 2, 1985 in Greenock) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays for Partick Thistle as a midfielder. Harkins started out at Blackburn Rovers, but never played a first team game for them. He was loaned out to Huddersfield Town in April 2004 where he was featured in his first match, against Leyton Orient. However, he didn't appear to feature much in the thoughts of manager Peter Jackson, playing only one full game, and returned to Blackburn in June. He was loaned out again in February 2005 to Bury, for whom he played five times in a month-long spell. On 12 July 2006, he joined Grimsby Town on a free transfer on a two year contract. However he left Grimsby one year later and joined Scottish First Division club Partick Thistle.

TENEMENTFUNSTER
But would he kick his own granny to get a game? Well his father did so that he could have a son.
kelt
Well his father did so that he could have a son. According to the Thistle fans he's a good player with a lot of potential (though at 23/24 how much more time do you need to develop that potential). But he's cheap, still breathing and wages probably wouldn't be out of our price range. That makes him a potential candidate. If he turns out to be any good then that's a bonus but not a necessity. Tyrant
The rumour about JDV doing a u-turn and committing to the club had me more worried. Why? He's clearly a handy player and won't be on a fortune.
glasgow sheep
where are Dundee getting this money from? First rumoured to be after Leigh Griffths and now Harkins: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1251618 Dundee’s persistence to sign Partick playmaker likely to pay off Published: 09/06/2009 DUNDEE’S £100,000 bid to land Partick Thistle playmaker Gary Harkins is back on. For the past month the Dark Blues have been knocked back by the Jags as they tried to hold on to the 24-year-old midfielder, but the transfer could now take place later this week. The player has now made it clear he wants to join Dundee and that could prompt Thistle to accept the offer. If they don’t, Harkins could sign a pre-contract agreement in January which would mean Thistle receive nothing for him when his contract runs out next summer. dunblanedon
According to a couple of Thistle fans and the Manager of our sister club Dunfermline, he's the reason Thistle challenged for much of last season and a player who works his socks off in every game. At his age and wages, it's likely he'd be a good squad addition to our midfield. I say give the boy a go
BigAl
The Herald is reporting that Thistle are set to knock back Dundee's £100k offer as they view him as being worth a lot more than that. Risky business on behalf of Thistle if he's free to sign a pre contract come next Jan.
