Kowalski Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 We have struggled for quite a few reasons so far this season, to pin it all on the absence of Nicholson is a bit much I reckon. Indeed. We should pin it on the non-absence of Foster! Quote
Ajja Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Aluko = good signing - we will make a profit on him (hopefully the sell on clause to Birmingham is not too high) Mulgrew and Kerr are just average players - I said we would struggle without a player of Barry Nic's qualities and it seems we are. Lets also not forget that for a season or 2 seve looked good in midfield - we have never replaced that either. I can't see why MacDonald can't fill Nicholsons role. I seem to remember the first season and a half Nicholson looked like a poor signing who was going to add little value to our squad. Quote

Completely agree, I don't only think he will come out of the shadow left by Nicholson, but will eclipse it. I honestly have seen more promise from him than I did from Nicholson at this stage of his Aberdeen career. Quote
