TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 It would have been nice to say just do half your round trip, but then the cunt would be down here. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 My first ever football match was the Dons at Parkhead, I was in the main stand and I was subjected to grown men shouting obscenities at me. I was five years old. Swings and roundabouts. Big Jock knew you? Quote
mizer Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Let me introduce myself - I have lived in Aberdeen for almost six years now, but have remained a glory hunting Celtic supporter, I may not go to see them as often as I did when I lived in somewhere that is not Glasgow and has its own team, but my glory hunting to see them succeed hasn’t faltered in the years I’ve lived here. On Sunday my Bangkok bride and I decided to have a family day at the football, this was to be my kids first ever senior game (daughter 7, son 4) – I managed to get 4 tickets for the ‘Family’ section i.e. Merkland Road end, as despite me being a tink I thought it would make more sense to take my family to the family section, thinking I didn’t want my kids exposed to Celtic supporters who had been bevying for 4 hours on the journey north and singing IRA songs. That turned out to be the worst decision I’ve made in my football-attending career other than supporting celtic. Really, fit kind of mong are you to enter the home end? Quote
??? Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 What was it Funster said about Carlsberg and Mizer's banter?!? Quote
mizer Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 wonder how he got the tickets? must've been on the database before, purchased tickets, attended a match and not been offended - not very likely. or else didn't get tickets or attend the match on sunday - more than likely. Correct, good point min! Quote
Sweetchuck Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I didn’t want my kids exposed to Celtic supporters who had been bevying for 4 hours on the journey north. Celtic fans are welcome anywhere in Europe and have won awards for their behaviour and sportsmanship So they're welcome everywhere in Europe, but you don't want your kids anywhere near them? Fuck off and take your double standards, whiney self-delusion and mock moral outrage to a forum where people could actually give a fuck about you, your wife, your kids or your worthless opinion. If you're fucking stupid enough to take your pride and joy into the wrong end at a fitba match because you're too much of a gloryhunting, fairweather fan to get proper away end tickets then you're probably lucky you didn't get your teeth knocked out. Try doing that at Ibrox and see how far you get, you fucking wind-up piece of shit. Quote

Cove_Sheep Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Let me introduce myself - I have lived in Aberdeen for almost six years now, but have remained a staunch Celtic supporter, I may not go to see them as often as I did when I lived in the west of Scotland, but my passion to see them succeed hasn’t faltered in the years I’ve lived here. First and foremost can I congratulate the Aberdeen team for their resilient display on Sunday – plus their ability to convert their chances when presented with them. However my congratulations ends with the team and the management, not the Dons fans…….. On Sunday my wife and I decided to have a family day at the football, this was to be my kids first ever senior game (daughter 7, son 4) – I managed to get 4 tickets for the ‘Family’ section i.e. Merkland Road end, as despite me being a Tim I thought it would make more sense to take my family to the family section, thinking I didn’t want my kids exposed to Celtic supporters who had been bevying for 4 hours on the journey north. That turned out to be the worst decision I’ve made in my football-attending career. The racist, foul and offensive language used in the ‘Family’ section appalled me. ‘Fuck off back to Ireland ya tattie munching cunts!’, ‘Cheating Fennian Bastards!’ were amongst the many pleasantries that I couldn’t believe I was hearing!!!!! I’m not naive enough to think this doesn’t happen at football matches, but surely not in the ‘family’ section. No matter how drunk the Celtic fans were, there would be no way my kids would have been subjected to such obscenities if we had been in the Celtic section – this is why Celtic fans are welcome anywhere in Europe and have won awards for their behaviour and sportsmanship, this is the calibre of supporter I’m used to – even in the dark days of the ’90s when we finished behind team like Aberdeen in the league we still sang ‘Always look on the Brightside of life!’. Putting aside their disgusting vocabulary, I couldn’t believe how fickle the Aberdeen fans were – Jimmy Calderwood has guided them to 3rd in the league, yet when he made the Aluko substitution on Sunday with the game poised at 2-2 he was lambasted, it proved to be a tactical success! To summarise, I’m used to a superior human standing next to me at matches and I was very disappointed with the calibre of human I experienced on Sunday. As a result in the future I’ll take my boy a 300 mile round trip to Glasgow if he wants to see football rather than go to this alleged family section of my local team – my doing this wont really impact Stewart Milne’s pocket, but how many people out there have had a similar experience? and refuse to expose their family to such behaviours? I wonder if Rangers fans are as appalling in the presence of families? MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert, MOPE alert Quote
Cove_Sheep Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Nauseating. Had you been in the away end (which is where you should have been), you'd have been subjected to hearing about "Sheep shagging bastards" and such like. I presume that would have been acceptable, going by your post? My first ever football match was the Dons at Parkhead, I was in the main stand and I was subjected to grown men shouting obscenities at me. I was five years old. Swings and roundabouts. Main Stand, Parkhead, five years old? Shouldn't you consider yourself lucky that all they did was shout obscenities at you... Quote

Guest swaddon Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 If he's lived in Aberdeen for six years, how come he doesn't spell the name of the city properly in his user name? Quote
BigAl Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 If he's lived in Aberdeen for six years, how come he doesn't spell the name of the city properly in his user name? Oh come on now Swaddon, give him some credit, its a pretty good attempt for your typical Tic supporter. Not actually sure why I'm wasting my valuable time to reply to this, but let me put in in plain English that even your average low intelligence Tattie Muncher should grasp. Home End = Home supporters Away End = Away supporters. See its really not very difficult. Think I'd be fucking stupid enough to take my missus and sons to the home end of Porkheid for an Aberdeen game Quote
quirie Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 If he was so offended why didnt he blow his disguise? In the RDS Lower a polis officer was having a go at one of our fans telling him to keep calm(whilst getting in my way ) as he a spotted a muppet wearing a tattie top to which the Aberdeen fan said "well why dont you do you fucking job and kick him out?" To my surprise the tim(who was clearly smacked off his tits/drunk or both which wouldnt of surprised me) was chucked out Also I got a lift in from a family of tattie munchers 2 in Ireland end the others in Merkland and they didnt moan on the way home about abuse or anything like that! TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 There was an Irish fella who asked the group I was in for a spare! Quote

Guest swaddon Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 It might be easy for away supporters to be confused by the Family Stand, I once sat next to a Motherwell fan and his son who were eventually thrown out at half time. But I imagine that on their ticket, it says 'Home Support Only', so if they can't read, then they deserve everything they get for their stupidity. Quote
Azteca1903 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I’m used to a superior human standing next to me Aren't most Celtic fans? Quote
Guest AbeerdeenBasedTim Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I despair! – I thought this site would have Don’s fans with integrity that would share my basic common decency of being courteous to other humans. However you have displayed my worst fear – that the vocabulary retarded in the Merkland Road end on Sunday are not the minority, but a fair cross section of the Aberdeen support! Please let me address some of your points in turn: ‘probably a journalist’ nope!, just able to string more than one sentence together, thanks for the compliment! Bye bye now. Go and be O'ffended elsewhere.’ I will, no more pennies spent at Pittodrie from me, plus there is little chance my 4 year old boy will be presented with the chance of being a Dons fan, a situation that could have happened if the family section at Pittordrie was more palatable… How can you call yourself a 'Tim' then complain when other people call you a tattie muncher? ‘Tim’ is not offensive, it is a term of endearment, we are ‘The Bhoys, the Timolloys!!!’ Also, I don’t see the "fuck off back to Ireland" thing as being that bad. Celtic are supposedly a Scottish team, playing in a Scottish league. Celtic’s tradition and foundation represent the Irish immigrant community that spans the globe, that’s why Celtic fans can be found in every corner of the world, 100 years ago Irish immigrants were subjected to the same raciest abuse our current inhabitants from Asia etc. are subjected to by the moron element of our society, Sunday made me realise that some North East inhabitants haven’t evolved in the past 100 years!!!! the management of the club seem happy to encourage certain players to turn their backs on Scotland and play for Ireland instead Like most Celtic fans I have Irish grandparents, who travelled to Scotland in the hope of a better life. SFA rules state I could play for Ireland as well as Scotland, lets think, would you want to play for a team that Kris Boyd has rejected? Is this fucker still here? Where you in the Merkland Road end on Sunday? – I’m sure I heard your fantastic capture of the English language!!!! The same fans who caused a plane to be diverted after the Celta Vigo game because they were acting violently on a plane? A guy was smoking in the toilet of the plane – very scary!!!! Big Jock knew you? A new low – Dons fans make jest about Paedophilia…….wow! wonder how he got the tickets? must've been on the database before, purchased tickets, attended a match and not been offended - not very likely. or else didn't get tickets or attend the match on sunday - more than likely. Was at the game for sure, - not prepared to delvulge how I obtained them, but was there, and it was my families first time...... Quote
glasgowdon Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Where you in the Merkland Road end on Sunday? – I’m sure I heard your fantastic capture of the English language!!!! That rules out the journo theory. Did you really expect sympathy? Clown. Quote
Cove_Sheep Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 That rules out the journo theory. Does it? Chick Young is allegedly a journalist. Did you really expect sympathy? Clown. He's just another mope doing what he does best and moping around. Quote
