I can't speak for anyone but myself but, for me, yeah it's right up there with the best I've ever seen.   You don't often see a keeper beat at his near post like that let alone from that distance and even more so for the goalie to be taking no blame.

They were never going to catch them anyway (think they're eleven ahead now), so probably good for Cove that Stenny drop points, as they're in pole position for second spot, which will help in the playoffs. Stenny look absolutely shattered, I reckon they'll struggle to do anything in the playoffs.

Hamilton Accies given a 15point deduction which essentially relegates them (now 8 points behind Airdrie with 3 games to go).

Hamilton Academical say they are "astonished" after a 15-point deduction for breaching league rules left them facing relegation from the Scottish Championship.

The SPFL revealed the club had been charged with four offences, and say an independent disciplinary tribunal found the Lanarkshire club guilty.

John Rankin's side were seven points clear of bottom side Airdrieonians in the second tier but their punishment means they are now eight adrift with nine points left to play for and could be relegated as soon as this weekend.

According to the league, the offences relate a failure to pay six players and not acting in "good faith" when dealing with the SPFL about the removal of a transfer ban following previous financial issues.

The other charges relate to:

• giving incorrect information to the league about the ownership of the club's stadium

• a late submission of their membership criteria for the season

• failing to meet the required standard of Scottish FA licence to participate in the league.

As well as a points deduction the club has been fined £9,000, £2,500 of which is suspended pending further indiscretions.

In response, Hamilton said they are "astonished and disappointed at the tribunal decision".

"We are awaiting the written reasons whereupon the board will meet to consider an appeal," a statement added.

"Until any appeal process is concluded we shall be making no further comment."

It was revealed earlier this month that Hamilton face leaving their New Douglas Park home because the ground is rented to them by the club's previous owners.

They face Queen's Park at home on Saturday and need to win to avoid immediately dropping into League 1.

However, they do have a right to appeal the decision to the Scottish FA, which throws up the possibility of the campaign ending without knowing which league Accies will be in next season.

This points deduction could hardly come at a more difficult time of the season. It has taken Hamilton from within touching distance of retaining their place in the Championship to almost guaranteeing relegation to League 1.

In recent seasons, both Edinburgh City and Bonnyrigg Rose have had points deductions imposed for breaching SPFL rules.

And it appears the SPFL are now beginning to come down hard on clubs who fail to adhere to the rules and regulations that others abide by.

The players at Accies - along with manager John Rankin - have performed well in recent weeks with big wins at Dunfermline and Partick giving them all hope of survival. This will be a bitter pill to swallow for all of those involved.

Hamilton have five working days to appeal against the sanctions and, with the league due to be concluded in just over two weeks, there is little time left for those in control at the club to try and save them from the drop.

This also has potential to fuck Clyde who ground share with Accies as and have the same issue as Hamilton with the ground owners wanting them out. They will not have been able to confirm their ground by 31st March either.

Accies got 12 point deduction for licence rules breech while Bonnyrigg got 6 point deduction. Accies are also getting 3 for player payment issues.

Falkirk finish with Accies who are fucked so should see it out.

From what I have seen of Livingston they look like their plan could give any bottom 6 a game in play offs. Thought of them and Falkirk being back up with their plastic pitches and shite away days is depressing.

I hope they both get up. Livi are actually playing some great football this season, and Falkirk obviously have been very good to watch too. Interestingly, both plastic pitches have looked immaculate this season. Almost as if they've set them up to be at their best for playing football on, rather than using them to stifle the game (by not watering them etc). I hope they both come up and stay up so that it comes to a head with the horrendous, self-preservation/closed shop plastic pitch decision. Livi won't be able to afford to replace theirs, and there'll maybe be at least one team promoted from the championship that has one too.

Not sure if Falkirk can replace theirs either as it belongs to the council I think. I was at Livingston for their game against Brora earlier in the season and pitch was not great then.

It's miles better than St Johnstone's or St Mirren's has been for a large part of the season. United a tattie field too. Falkirks plastic has always seemed to fair better than the rest too, not sure why.
