Tyrant Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 Look forward to watching it on MOTD. Sounded like citeh were hanging on towards the end. How was Cashley Cole not sent off for that challenge on Hernandez, and why wasn't it a penalty I wondered the same thing. He got booked for it but it's not a penalty? I guess because Hernandez had got the shot off. I felt sorry for Torres after that miss. Especially after his earlier finish which was good. If he'd put that away it was going to be nervy finish! Card happy prick ruined the Spurs Liverpool game. Spurs didn't need his help! Skrtle had to go I guess. But Adam's second didn't warrent a booking I don't think. Suarez' booking was ridiculous too. It wasn't just the cards, though. Other decisions were fucked up too. Including the one where Suarez won a free kick on the edge of the Spurs pentalty area. Never a free kick but there were many of them. When he gave it it seemed like he was admitting he'd made a mistake earlier? Anyway. Terrible officiating. Spurs played some good football. Carroll was shite! He's so fucking slow! Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 The ball was out of play by the time Cole hit Hernandez, which shows you how late it was. Quote
mizer Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Hearts out the cup too, beaten by Ayr on penalties. Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 st johnstone 1 goal away from going 4th with a game in hand. in hindsight their fans must be a slightly annoyed that they didnt bother attacking us on the opening day of the season Quote
Kowalski Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 The rig I'm on has plumped for the Bayern v Man City game on the big screen, hopefully the correct choice! Quote

tlg1903 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 3-3 now, classic ending on the cards? Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 City were outclassed thereafter and Roberto Mancini said that substitute Carlos Tevez refused to play. The Italian boss explained that Tevez stayed on the bench after he planned to introduce the Argentine in the second half. That startling admission capped a miserable night for City as they arrived in Germany following an unbeaten start to the season. . Interesting situation. Knee jerk reaction from reading that is how fucking unprofessional but then again I dont know that much on this tevez situation. Whilst the bosman gave the players power and the chance to drive up their salaries perhaps it is now getting to the point that these players are signing contracts that even they cant afford to buy themselves out of (tevez on £150k a week allegedly) Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Real's first goal tonight was an absolute beauty. Great team goal Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Basle just come from 2-0 down to go 3-2 up at Old Trafford Not a good night for manchester Rio Ferdinand and Phil Jones will be kicking themselves for sleeping through a great game at Old Trafford.... Quote
Tyrant Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Phil Jones has really impressed me at Man Utd so far. I'm sure one poor game won't affect him long term. On the other hand I've always felt Rio was shite. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Phil Jones has really impressed me at Man Utd so far. I'm sure one poor game won't affect him long term. On the other hand I've always felt Rio was shite. Rio isn't shite. Zander Diamond is shite. Ferdinand is a good footballer, but can be iffy defensively without a dominant centre back beside him, aka Vidic. Jones had an off night, it happens, i was just making a wee quip at their collective poor display. Quote
Tyrant Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Perhaps "shite" was the wrong word. Overrated is maybe more applicable. Quote
