tom_widdows Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Croatia and Belgium won which isn't ideal. Is that Levein's opening line at tomorrows team talk? Quote
manc_don Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Is that Levein's opening line at tomorrows team talk? probably not far from the truth :-/ Quote
Madbadteacher Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Canna get a linky that works, 0-0 HT and Levein is shite. How much was a ticket? Quote
dave_min Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Canna get a linky that works, 0-0 HT and Levein is shite. How much was a ticket? £32 Quote
manc_don Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 You missed fuck all mbt. Try not to watch the "highlights", you're better off watching paint dry. Quote
Jute Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Scotland U21s lose 3-2 in Austria and blow qualification to play offs. Quote
topcorner Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Scotland U21s lose 3-2 in Austria and blow qualification to play offs. Another spectacular failure. We are fucking great at that. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Scotland U21s lose 3-2 in Austria and blow qualification to play offs. Last minute winner from Austria as well, brutal! Quote
topcorner Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Last minute winner from Austria as well, brutal! Levein is to blame for that too apparently... Quote
bloo_toon_red Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Levein is to blame for that too apparently... Despite the result there's alot of positives from this U-21 campaign. Some good players have really grown up playing at this level, we need look no further than our own Ryan Jack who seems to have really kicked on since his early involvement with the U-21s. Billy Stark doing a good job with them, it's now a case of getting them top make the next step, Jordan Rhodes seems to have done it. We know about Danny Wilson, Gregg Wylde, Johnny Russell, and now Tony Watt looks like he could be a bit of a player as well. Quote

Madbadteacher Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I still am not convinced by Kenny Miller. Ok, he scored, but he's not up to international level these days, cartainly not for the best part of 90 mins! Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I still am not convinced by Kenny Miller. Ok, he scored, but he's not up to international level these days, cartainly not for the best part of 90 mins! At millers age he should be an impact sub. Bring him on with 15-20mins to go when the opposition are tired and then it gets interesting. Having him plod on for 3/4 of the game against fully fit defenders is getting boring now Quote
baggy89 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Wonderful tactical substitution. Forward off midfielder on at 1-1 with half an hour to play, when at home to Macedonia. Quote
RDU_64 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Wonderful tactical substitution. Forward off midfielder on at 1-1 with half an hour to play, when at home to Macedonia. That's what I thought. Absolutely stunning move by Levein. Scotland are going to lose this yet, Macedonia hit the post. Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Belgium draw with Croatia Should something unlikely happen and Rhodes or someone pops up with the winner then I suspect Levein will be going on about being Joint top after 2 games Quote
manc_don Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 What a joke, completely inept performance. Quote
RDU_64 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 What a joke, completely inept performance. Great. 2 points from 2 very winnable home games. You're really looking to really make your home games count. I wouldn't recommend anyone booking Brazil 2014 because Scotland just ain't going. Might as well write off another qualifying campaign as a failure. Quote
CtS Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Painful viewing. 2nd to 50-50's, careless in possession, overhit crosses, lack of composure, it was horrible. Players need to have a look at themselves, yes Levein's a boring twat but at international level the players should at least be able to get themselves motivated for the occasion. We look like a very average side so I don't want to hear any more pish about 'progression'. Quote
maverick sheep Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Avril's record must be as bad as bertie by now surely? Can't remember the number of times I've thought 'surely he has to be sacked for this'. Just seems to be completely untouchable and I genuinely have no idea why. Who do we miss most? Steven Fletcher. It's painfully fucking obvious we're a better team with Fletcher on the pitch and any old random pig fucker in the dug out than we are with Fletcher not on the pitch and this specific old random pig fucker in the dug out. Quote
bloo_toon_red Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 The players really appear unmotivated, it's just very painful to watch. Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Avril's record must be as bad as bertie by now surely? Played 21 (competitive games in Bold) Won 10 Czech Republic (1-0 Friendly), Liechtenstein (2-1 Euro), Faroe Islands (3-0 Friendly), Northern Ireland (3-0 Nations), Wales (3-1 Nations), Denmark (2-1 Friendly), Lithuania (1-0 Euro), Liechtenstein (1-0 Euro), Cyprus (2-1 Friendly), Australia (3-1 Friendly) Drawn 4 Lithuania (0-0 Euro), Czech Republic (2-2 Euro), Slovenia (1-1 Friendly), Serbia (0-0 WC), Macedonia (1-1 WC) Lost 7 Sweden (0-3 Friendly), Czech Republic (0-1 Friendly), Spain (2-3 Euro), Brazil (0-2 Friendly), Rep of Ireland (0-1 Nations), Spain (1-3 Euro), USA (1-5 Friendly) And yet his record is far superior to Vogts Quote
