manc_don Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Milan just take the lead against barca. Quote
manc_don Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Milan two up and deservedly so. Barcelona have been woeful. Good finishes, even if the first should probably have been a Barcelona free kick. Quote
maverick sheep Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Football's massively corrupt, berlusconi's litterally buying votes, milan skelp barca (only to be thwarted unbelievably in the 2nd leg?). Hard not to look at these comps without thinking they're totally bogus. I dunno, All these great teams and great players but the chumps league very rarely seems that interesting. Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Swansea one up against Bradford. Would be good if Bradford came back into this. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 If jute united win we go to 9th. Way to go Dons Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Sadly, its going to happen mbt. I think that'll be where we end up again due to mr conservative. Quote
maverick sheep Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 we'll manage to stagger blindly into the top 6, and I'd be surprised if we don't manage to stumble into the European places. Hearts on the other hand will finish 10th and then go bust. Quote
maverick sheep Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 thistle romping it at dunfermline. this season shows up the farse of 1 promotion spot. jags and morton both deserve an spl place next season and hearts more than deserve to get relegated. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Watching some of the Chelski game on Fox here....apparently they have players called "denaza", "azzar", "hussar", edenaza", "hazza" all of whom wear the same number shirt! Quote
manc_don Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Decent Dundee derby today, first dark blue goal against the Arabs since 2005 I do wonder how many points Douglas has cost them though, Christ he's awful! Obviously from our perspective, thank fuck because there is no doubting the last game against them were lucky points gained by us. Quite looking forward to the north London derby next, hopefully it won't be a complete snooze fest. Quote
manc_don Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Great game today! Entertainment from the outset. Arsene will be feeling the pressure now for sure. Those two spurs goals were pretty much carbon copies of each other. Quote
maverick sheep Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Watching it on motd2. Jonathan pierce saying we may hear more about the incident where arsenal fans threw a banana at bale when taking a corner. He's not quite understanding what racism is eh? Bale looks like a monkey. Taking the piss out of him for being a monkey boy is not quite the same as chucking bananas at black folk ffs! Quote

manc_don Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Quite a few big games on tonight, especially in the Championship where Palace are taking on second placed Hull. Obviously the cracker at Old Trafford will hopefully live up to the billing. The first leg was an enjoyable watch. Quote
manc_don Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Ah well, referee spoilt the game tonight. At least GD will be happy I agree with mourinho, the best team certainly lost, even if he was keeping his options open. Quote
CtS Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Best team lost but not sure what all the controversy's about, Arbeloa is first to the ball and gets taken out at chest height (studs showing) by a late challenge. I felt it was the wrong decision at first look, but from replays etc I think the ref had no choice. There's a case for arguing every late challenge is an 'accident', still a foul though. Rio Ferdinand is a complete and utter fucking tool. Quote
manc_don Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 It was definitely a foul, a yellow at worst. yet again, a continental referee hasn't a clue how to referee a game. I thought he was supposed to be good at his job. That said, still miles off the incompetence we suffer week in week out. Quote

I felt it was the wrong decision at first look, but from replays etc I think the ref had no choice. There's a case for arguing every late challenge is an 'accident', still a foul though. Rio Ferdinand is a complete and utter fucking tool. 100% correct. Ah well, referee spoilt the game tonight. At least GD will be happy I agree with mourinho, the best team certainly lost, even if he was keeping his options open. 100% pish min. I agree with CTS. You cannot expect to jam your studs into someone's torso aboot 5 feet off the ground, taking him out full force and be surprised when you're shown a red card. I don't doubt that there wasn't any intent to harm. There clearly wasn't but if the referee deems it serious foul play (as he was right to IMO my opinion) then he's left with no choice but to send Nani off. I'm real tired of hearing this "Ref ruined the game" pish. Nani and his recklessness ruined the game. The ref was strong and made a big call and I don't think he got it wrong. Even Roy Keane is able to see it without the blinkers. I also didn't think Man Utd were the better team at any point in the match. Until the sending off it was about 50-50 in terms of possession and chances. After the sending off Madrid had more possession obviously. How quickly do people forget that Man Utd scored from a corner in the 1st leg that was clearly a goal kick. And Rio Ferdinand showed himself to the the cunt he truly is. Quote
manc_don Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I along with many others (not united fans either may I add) thought exactly the same. As I said, it was clearly a yellow, but a sending off it was never. I genuinely thought that the chances united created were better than that of reals, but at the end of the day the equaliser was worthy of winning a match by itself. Quote
CtS Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 I think a yellow was the least acceptable outcome to be honest, a yellow suggests he saw a foul, and when a foul is studs up at chest height it's surely got to be a red? Or if he thought it was a totally accidental clash it should have been a drop ball and no card. Red or nothing for me. Quote
CtS Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 And for what it's worth I wanted united to win, and was disappointed at the outcome. In fact it was only Ferdinand's reaction at the end that made me less bothered about it, what a fud. Quote
