RicoS321 Posted June 19, 2022 Report Posted June 19, 2022 1-3. Girona up. Third time of asking. Quote
Jute Posted June 19, 2022 Report Posted June 19, 2022 Really good 2nd half. Girona have bottled it on previous two occasions so was good to see them make it up. MLS game I am now watching between New York City and Colorado is nowhere near as good. Quote

Jute Posted July 3, 2022 Report Posted July 3, 2022 Our American overlords on Sky Football if anyone is bored. Look a shambles at the back. New York City are the opponents and don’t look much better. No Hernandez as he is out with a ACL injury. Quote
Jute Posted July 3, 2022 Report Posted July 3, 2022 Finished 2-2 with New York in particular missing a numerous good chances. Quote
BigAl Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 New season, new manager, but Hibs resorting to type Quote
Slim Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 They made 4 subs at half time too, this guy will be gone by Christmas. Quote

tom_widdows Posted July 19, 2022 Report Posted July 19, 2022 St Mirren knocked out of the league cup with one game left to play St Johnstone seemingly on the brink and Hibs need to make sure they beat Morton tomorrow night Quote

Saying teams are not prepared for start to competitive games so early. Quote
tom_widdows Posted July 20, 2022 Report Posted July 20, 2022 Hibs lose on penalties to Morton missing their first 3 in the shootout. Level on points with Falkirk who still have one game to play. A draw with clyde will win their group and hibs will have to hope results go their way to get a best runners up spot Quote
BigAl Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 Although mathematically possible for HIVS to go through, there are just too many result outcomes that they need to go their way and it ain't going yo happen Delightful stuff Remind me, just what length of contract they gave this Johnson chap Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 Their biggest hope is that Falkirk fuck up against Clyde and get a draw. That's not completely unrealistic. Imagine Hibs fluke themselves into third best second placed team on Saturday, giving us the opportunity to allow Raith to beat us by a single goal and knock them out? 1 Quote

tom_widdows Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 (edited) Oi Oi. Falkirk might be able to play their under 12s on Saturday https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62252834 Edited July 21, 2022 by tom_widdows Quote
Jute Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 Not going matter now for Hibs. ETA - Tom beat me too it. Quote
Jute Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 Player is apparently Bushiri. So that’s them signed by mistake and now played him by mistake. Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 It's ridiculous though. Hibs should be allowed to go out by virtue of being shite at fitba like everyone else. To be honest, this happens too often and raises a fundamental flaw in the administration of our game in the 21st century. I mentioned this a few years back when some part time outfit were being punished, but it's even more ridiculous now. It shouldn't be possible for Hibs (or Stranraer) to field an ineligible player. A system should be in place whereby you submit your team lines online, that connects to the SPFL database and returns any ineligible player instantly giving the team the opportunity to correct. It's absolutely bullshit that this function doesn't exist. Teams getting thrown out based on admin is completely anti sport. At a time when we're ruining the game with hyper-tech VAR, this simple application is still not available at about 1/1000th of the cost. Admin is not what sport is, and it shouldn't decide the outcome of anything ever. Hibs are a big enough team not to have made the error (although they have had a complete turnover of staff), but Stranraer will have some part time person who maybe wasn't there last season and doesn't know who is suspended. We should be helping clubs and removing these things from the game, it's extremely black or white. Quote
