  • I'm very glad that I can watch the Dons most weeks and then switch off to all other football (Scotland aside). I do watch the occasional game on the telly (rarely a whole game), mainly the BBC Friday

Am I right in thinking that every single Premiership team has taken something from Pittodrie this season - except Hearts? Had they won at Pittodrie earlier in the season, they'd already be champi

Ross soaring to the top of the next sacking odds table. He can't even use the "it's only three points" line, because it's the cup. McGhee would never have allowed this to happen.

As just said on the commentary about McGrath, wonder how he is enjoying his European football since it was such a deciding factor (allegedly) in him choosing United

Finished 7-0.

Imagine, just imagine being as tinpot as Dundee United.

Man United comedy gold

Man United players looking like they are not playing for the manager.

Got to laugh at Gary Neville. Seemingly the reason United are crap is due to the owners taking dividends out of the club, he overlooks the fact they have given some of the best managers in the world about £500m to spend on players yet the Glazers are to blame. Jamie Redknapp having none of it. 🤣

Utd getting better with every game, losing only three goals to Hertz, and even scoring one themselves.

Fucking hell, that's ELEVEN conceded in less than 72 hours 😂

Watched a fair bit of the Killie Celtic game earlier.  It's a myth that you cannot play good fitba on a plastic pitch, totally psychological if you ask me.  Some cracking stuff played by Celtic and the boy Jota can fairly strike a ball.

I find it easier to play fitba on a plastic pitch, even with my dodgy knees, and I'm always surprised when it's mentioned. However, if you dry out a plastic pitch, the bounce can be very high and unnatural and the ball can stick in a way that it wouldn't on a good grass pitch. The emphasis is on good though, as if you let the grass grow a bit then you get the same sticking effect. The biggest oddity is that whenever there is a poor grass surface (which happens a lot), it's blamed on the conditions or just laughed off, yet plastic pitches get zero leeway in the same regard. Pittodrie has been good the last few years, but there have been times in the last decade where it has been horrendous. The biggest issue with all grass pitches is the heavy deterioration around the goal area. Our goalies get accused of being terrible with their feet, yet nobody seems to factor in that they get much worse between December and March as the pitches become more and more difficult to play on (especially when as a keeper you're often asked to belt a moving ball a long way). Plastic pitches rarely suffer the same variability across the surface. Killie's one must be nearing send of life these days though. The Livingston one always seems to be deliberately left un-watered so it's like you're playing indoors.

Fuck the co efficient

Will happily see Mini Huns humped in Switzerland🇨🇭

Fair play to them, 2-1 away in Europe isn’t a bad result. Reckon they could sneak it.

For anyone that’s bored  Real Sociedad v Barcelona is about to start on ITV 4.

Finished 4-1 to Barcelona. Very even first half but Barca ran away with it in second half.

On to Chicago v New York now.

This game not got the same quality but New York ahead with goal that would have not looked out of place in Real Sociedad v Barcelona. Screamer from Pereira.

I take it the Glazers will be getting the credit for the Man U win tonight since it was their fault they lost their first two games 😉

People online saying it’s great for Scottish football. Rangers and Celtic just get wealthier and the gap widens. How does that help our league exactly? They’ll both get millions this year and the rest get…..

PSV goalie has to be on his last warning.

2 extremely costly mistakes in 2 games.

Fuck the co-efficent shite the Weegie media are going to be spewing out in the coming days and weeks.

This is bad news guys, they probably earn £40m plus off the back of that result, whilst the other cheek do likewise

Remind me how this aids the standard of domestic Scottish football for the rest of us ?

I was hoping that they got humped last night but I really doubt whether them winning makes any difference at all to our league.

Looking back to when Rangers were spending mega money, they splashed cash on Kanchelskis and the like in 1998/99 and the difference between first and third in the league that season was 20 points. The following season that gap was 36 points.  That really was at the height of when the Old Firm were spending and everyone else was absolutely skint and not only were the OF spending, they were actually buying really good players, guys who were in Holland's first eleven not second rate players.

In comparison, two years ago the gap between first and third was 39 points and 32 points last season which is without Champions League money.  Even with Champions League money, the OF are never going to be buying dutch internationals again, they will still be shopping in the second tier so I doubt whether it will make any difference at all.
