Original stadium was built in the 90s for a failed athletics bid. Reason for not having a complete bowl is they built it around the original stand

They have least got 3 different metro lines with 20 minutes of stadium so at least got a reasonable options for public transport.

I wonder if England fans would take a horsing from the Germans if it got Southgate the bullet pre wc.  They ain't doing anything in qatar as things stand and they know it.

Would they remove Southgate so close to a World Cup though? Germany is their last game before it starts so sacking him now would mean new manager not getting anytime with the squad prior to the World Cup.

The media love their stats don’t they. I hate England with a passion but if you look at their recent form it is really not all that bad. They’ve lost a couple of games to Hungary and one to Italy. Apart from that they have been pretty faultless since the last World Cup. Southgate has arguably been England’s best manager in my lifetime, just missing out on a World Cup final and losing the Euros on a penalty kick. He’s transformed the mentality of their side totally and even with their blip in form they are bound to be there or thereabouts when the medals are being dished out in Qatar. They will always have a chance if they can keep Kane fit in my opinion.

Any links - was hoping it would be in ITV4 or something - doesn't seem to be on hesgoals.  Obviously my neighbours are hoping that wild screaming Scotsman doesn't disturb our enjoyment of strictly dancing on ice or whatever people watch on a normal Saturday night.
