Guest rocket debris Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Puyol keeps going and going but he made that goal there. Defensively but surely be on his last legs. Ibram's first goal for ages might just be the catalyst both he and Barca need. They've been very strong finishers all season. This is already the cracker that they were predicting. Great stuff. EDIT: Didn't realise Carlos P is only 31. Thought he was at least 2 or 3 years older. Quote
Guest ally s Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Palace seem to have their own ultras! They do, Holmesdale fanatics or something Quote
Guest ally s Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Did anyone watch the Milan - Manure game last night? Reading the match report this morning sounds as though Manure were on fire. Have to say I wasn't expecting Utd to come away with a win. To be fair Milan aren't anything like as good as they were a few years ago, still an impressive result for the Mancs though. Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 United were dire in the first half, Fergie was going off his head. Played well in the second half up to the third goal. Was a cracking game, Fletcher was excellent. Clarence Seedorf was only on the pitch for 20 mins and was one of the standout players, a magnificent player. Quote

Scholes must be up there for goal of the season though! Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Aye, pretty much spot on. Scholes must be up there for goal of the season though! Aye, it's not often anyone strikes the ball that truly... Fergie was going ballistic at Jonny Evans in the first half, looked as though Evans was shouting back at him. The look on Mike Phelan's face was "Please don't answer him back Jonny" as Fergie turned a purpler shade of purple... Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Thought Fletcher was absolutely superb last night.....how I hope Harry Potter can get a similar performance out of him for Scotland. Set up two goals, never missed a pass and seemed to be everywhere. If the English weren't so busy wanking over the best striker in the world (sic) then he would be MotM. First half United were dreadful but they could have won by more in the end. Great match all round. Also just noticed that the last 16 seems to be split over 2 weeks for the first time, presumably so the big clubs can get even more money while depriving smaller clubs like us of income due to the fact we have to put on matches in direct competition to the spectacle of Live Champions League football on SKY Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Also just noticed that the last 16 seems to be split over 2 weeks for the first time, presumably so the big clubs can get even more money while depriving smaller clubs like us of income due to the fact we have to put on matches in direct competition to the spectacle of Live Champions League football on SKY I think this is more to do with UEFA rather than the clubs GS. I was hearing yesterday that the English FA are supposed to be pretty angry as they see this as eating into their calendar (There was afterall a Premier game on last night) and are also not happy with the move of the CL Final to a Saturday this year. Their view is obviously centred around themselves and what money they're missing out on though. But there is a feeling that UEFA are trying to monopolise the club game and that the domestic leagues are being marginalised as a consequence. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 St Johnstone 5 Hibs 1 Crikey. Quote

Ajja Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Is our game in hand against them So much for Brazil 1970 splitting the OF. Quote
El Padre™ Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 Bad result for us, they have a game in hand over us and we're only 2 points ahead of them. At this rate we could be neck and neck with Killie in a few weeks. Quote
dickofthedons Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 Anyone see St Johnstones first goal?? Wasnt far off Paton's goal against Celtic, nae quite as good though Quote
Ajja Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Anyone see St Johnstones first goal?? Wasnt far off Paton's goal against Celtic, nae quite as good though I was just coming in here to post exactly that. It was an absolute carbon copy, the ball pretty much took the same route to his foot and then ping. Although, much easier to do it against hibs of course Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Man U humped 3-1 by Everton! The sooner Vidic is back the better. Any combination of Brown, Evans and Ferdinand has looked nothing short of horrific recently. Quote
Harcus Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Maguire scores again for Killie. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 GD - your bet is looking good, Barca 3-0 up at half time. That bet was 8/5 at Hills, incidentally. Quote

Jute Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Stuttgart 1 up on Barca! Finished 1-1. Barca were poor in the first half but did improve in the 2nd. Cannot see them not progressing now they have the away goal. Stuttgart looked to have improved no end since Gross took over. Bore no resemblence to the team that drew 1-1 with the Huns. Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 London Huns one down to Inter. Decent game so far, the huns were unlucky not to have a penalty just before half time. Clear as daylight and should have been a red for the Inter player Quote
Kowalski Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Inter 1-0 up on Chelsea at half-time. Terry torn a new one - not for the first time this month. Quote
