mizer Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1552521,00.html Dons teenagers Jonathan Crawford and Peter Pawlett are the latest to commit their futures to the Pittodrie club by signing contract extensions. English midfielder Peter, who turned eighteen earlier this month, has signed a three year deal while defender Jonathan, who is a current Scotland Under 19 internationalist, will remain at the club until the summer of 2010. Aberdeen youth team manager Neil Cooper commented, "We have high hopes for both Peter and Jonathan and both have already been involved on the bench for the first team while Peter travelled as part of the squad to Bayern Munich for last season's UEFA Cup tie. Their attitude is fantastic and if they continue to develop in the way they have so far, it won't be too long before they are pushing for a regular top team place. I'm also sure it won't be too long before Peter catches the eye of the English FA. We have asked him if he has a Scottish grandparent hidden away but sadly he hasn't." http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/b4/5b/0,,10284~5331892,00.jpg[/img] Quote

quirie Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 More young-uns signed on - http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1555861,00.html DONS TEENAGE TRIO LATEST TO SIGN NEW DEALS Youngsters Michael Paton, Scott Ross and Nicky Clark are the latest to commit their futures to Pittodrie with all three signing contract extensions that will see Michael staying at the Club until the summer of 2011 and Scott and Nicky until June 2010 . Striker Michael, who turns twenty next month, enjoyed two successful loan spells at Brechin City and made his Dons first team debut in December when he came on as a substitute in the 3-0 SPL win in Inverness over Caley Thistle. Midfielder Nicky was included in the travelling squad for last month's league visit to Hamilton while fellow seventeen year old defender Scott has featured regularly in both the reserve and youth squads this season. Pittodrie Director of Football Willie Miller commented, "Both Scott and Nicky are ones for the future and we'll be looking for both to be challenging for top team places over the next eighteen months. Michael meanwhile has been a regular on the bench in recent weeks and is now at the stage where he is pushing for a starting berth."
