I've actually been to the UK version with rufus hound and jorgie porter. It was ace. She is stunning but he was hilarious. It's a channel 5 show is it not? Nothing lasts for very long on there. You won't believe me but professor Green was actually funny as fuck in between filming

Yes I found he was actually ok as the host.  Obviously zero chemistry with that bint mel B though.  Bet you're gutted you missed the Johnny Vegas V Vic Reeves gig

The ending of a TV series... it canna be an easy thing to do right.

Banshee ended brilliantly, Californication ended well and so did The Office, but Breaking Bad and The Sopranos left me frustrated as hell. I've watched that ending to the Sopranos a few times, having read peoples opinions on what it's all about to see if i can see where they're coming from... it still drives me bonkers.

The Walking Dead... how the hell is that going to end? Are they going to find a cure to the zombie virus (which seems unlikely after years of living like cavemen) or are they all just going to succumb and die?

I know what you mean and i did wonder how they could draw to an end a way of life for tens of thousands of people (i believe they think there are still 16,000-20,000 mafia still operating), but i didn't enjoy the ambiguity of the final scene of The Sopranos. I got the feeling Big T was away to get whacked.  :(

Suspense and intrigue are valuable tools in film-making!

For me, after six series and god knows how many episodes - and I've seen them all at least twice and possibly three times - I agree that I was also wondering if T was away to get whacked. Mainly due to the fact I knew it was the last episode more than anything else. That's good film-making, us all pouring over a simple family situation and wondering what brutality was going to occur.

But on reflection I thought it was a great ending. Most of us can enjoy a family outing and know that gunmen aren't going to burst in and blow our brains out. In that business, the business of creating enemies, they can NEVER relax and the fact it didn't happen then doesn't mean it won't happen next time, or at least at some point in the future. It's a perpetual cycle of war "this thing of ours" and the price they pay for being in it is that they can't take once what we take for granted every day. It's pathos. It's sad. No money in the world would have me swap lives with them and that's the point; they're fucking animals living a completely different life from us, and they do it within our schools, restaurants and communities. They're a tiny proportion of the population but they exist and it's scary to appreciate.

I put the finger up to a gangster once, in a Glasgow traffic jam. I didn't know he was a gangster when I did it but by fuck I didn't have long to find out that he was different gravy. Fortunately I was able to keep my mouth shut and as still as my body, sitting in the driver seat as I was. The numerous witnesses probably dissuaded him from meting out the justice he felt I deserved and whilst I knew I'd made a mistake, he was scarily different, something I'd never seen before and hopefully won't come across again.

Watched This World on BBC which is about the shooting of Chapman, an unarmed black male in Portsmouth, yankee land.  I think it was the right outcome but fuck, I'm glad I wasn't on the jury, so many lies it was hard to see the truth.  Very good watch anyway.

Good documentary on Anthony Weiner last night on BBC4, only caught the last half mind. Interesting to see a guy with such brutal lack of self awareness - or perhaps he was just narcissistic. Either way, quite amusing. Showed the press in an interesting, but obvious, light too.

Might I add, those who think that Trump isn't part of the establishment, well, just watch the bit about the lobbyists. These are the people who he wants to protect.  I wish nothing but absolute pain and misery on these cunts.

It's a great film indeed. Trump's idea is to de-regulate massively - there will be no need for the lobbying, and I don't believe the lobbyists were remotely supporting him. Indeed the donations of Exxon, Koch brothers, Saudi oil, Goldman and so on all went to Clinton. It was a who's-who of cunts.

Along the same - but different - lines, Greg Palast's documentary on vote rigging (yes it does occur Donald, but not the way you suggested) is free for today only and definitely worth a watch. A fantastic journalist and decent guy.
