Tyrant
But I'm sure the SNP have done some good, surely. Although the closure of the NE Police call centre is already being shown to be the horrendous decision everybody said it would be. When you're right you're right. They're fighting to get us a priceless second chance at changing this catastrophic status quo. Thank fuck for Nicola.
manc_don
Hunting the KGB killers on 4OD. Brilliant viewing. Remember being completely fascinated by this at the time, a bit of old fashioned KGB poisoning and Putin intrigue.
manc_don
Finally got started on the second season of Billions recently. Absolutely love that show. Only 5 episodes in but it's as good as the last. Anyone watched Born to Kill yet?
manc_don
Swingers, a Dutch show, absolutely gripping. I was genuinely quite impressed.
Kowalski
"Little Boy Blue" has been good, obviously not a barrel of laughs but decent so far and that's saying something for ITV!
mondo
Set your series link tonight. Band of brothers is starting from scratch on Sky Atlantic at 9pm. In the top 5 tv programmes of all time for me. Outstanding piece of television.
rocket_scientist
Twin Peaks. David Lynch has outlynched himself here. Intriguingly bizarre and very dark but some great beauty too.
manc_don
The handmaids tale on channel 4. Wow, very close to the truth, albeit obviously exaggerated but you can see how quickly things can turn. Only on episode 3 but it's incredibly dark. Well worth a watch

Only on episode 3 but it's incredibly dark. Well worth a watch It's been good so far like. It's a good view of how religious texts can be warped, regardless of religion, to fit a particular narrative. Folks have a go at the Muslims for the writings of their book, but the bible is a pretty fucked up specimen in many areas and can equally be used (and is) to justify some pretty horrendous things. Definitely worth watching though.

manc_don
The State on Channel 4. Was a four part series about Syria / ISIS. Excellent viewing imo, hard to feel sorry for most of the characters.

manc_don
Started watching a show called "the Deuce" - from the same director of the Wire. Set in the 1970's NYC and seems to be all about porn / pimps / hookers etc...Only watched part of the pilot but seemed decent enough. Was too long and needed to get to sleep. will resume watching later! https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/aug/28/porn-the-deuce-review-david-simon-70s-new-york https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7YMlL8x8GE

rocket_scientist
Aye. Bojack Horseman also? Never heard of it until a month ago. My 15 year old daughter got me into it. BJH is SO good. There was one line in the episode we watched tonight - No I wasn't having a pee, I was just taking my penis out.
rocket_scientist
Doctor Foster. OMG. Great acting and a dark as fuck script. Loving it. Missed the first series but the wife insisted I catch up on iPlayer before this second series. Final one next week.
BigAl
Doctor Foster. OMG. Great acting and a dark as fuck script. Loving it. Missed the first series but the wife insisted I catch up on iPlayer before this second series. Final one next week. Excellent viewing. Missus watched first season and I kind of just really cottoned on to it by default cause it was on. Glad I did to be hnoest. Wasn't really sure how a second series could be made given the ending in first one, but by christ this one is even better viewing than the first. Looking forward to next weeks finale. Sand dan Glokta
Rick and Morty is a new find for me, not for all I would suspect but I really like it. Rick & Morty. Immense show. Utterly bizarre and highly amusing. It genuinely hasn’t dropped in humour since season 1. Ray Donovan is my current binge. Onto season 4 now. Very good acting all round. Jon Voight is absolutely superb! Still need to finish suits and waiting until the new Star Trek has all 10 episodes released, then I’ll binge into that. Planning on starting Parks and Recs now that I’ve finished Archer as my casual watch.
gosgka
just finished watching Rake ( the original Australian version ) based on a real life lawyer a friend of the writer. well worth a punt very funny and based on real cases cannibal, 3some with family dog, things like that and a personnel life that is unreal
1903_Redz
Just finished watching Narcos season 3. Other than Dons victories on the telly, that's the best thing i've watched on the box. Better even than the first 2 seasons with Pablo. I had my doubts about season 3 due to the lack of Escobar but i needn't have worried. The suspense is unreal, i had to check my heart rate at times! Madbadteacher
Pillars of the Earth. Was just starting to read the book when it came on UK TV but a combination of not having satellite TV in Ardnamurchan (only way to get it back then) and moving to here meant I never saw it. Now I can get it "on demand" for free and enjoying it. BTW Hayley Atwell is a very pretty woman!

tom_widdows
Just discovered Black Mirror. Quite simply the most interesting themes ever, done so well it fucks the mind so wonderfully. The 2014 Christmas special is particularly disturbing but my personal favourite was the 'White Bear' Episode in season 2. Had no idea Brooker had sold it to the States or that there was a season 3 or 4.
