Watching a bit about the music project in the Raploch estate in Stirling. One of the wee boys learning to play the fiddle is called Copland......so his dad will be a hun then. Anyone thought about calling their bairns Merkland or Pittodrie?

Why would someone name their son after a shite Sylvester Stallone film?

I watched 'Life' on BBC 1 tonight too. Fantastic scenes, especially the flying fish! I didn't realise that they could travel up to 200m out of the water!

I liked the penguins too - saw a load of them at the zoo today they are fantastic creatures.

Anybody else watch the thing on BBC2 on Seve (the real one) with Peter Alliss.

The best bit was about the Green jackets.

Just watched it.  Thought it was excellent.

There will barely be a dry eye in the house if he tees up at St Andrews next year.

Can't really get into the latest Charlie Boorman series. Liked the two Long Way series he did with Ewen McGregor, and the Dublin to Sydney By any means was okay, but watched the first 2 episodes of this one and that's it for me, boring.

The utterly cuntingly funny Thick of It returns for a 3rd series tonight on BBC 2 @ 2210. Don't miss it.

The brutal but utterly brilliant The Thick Of it is back.

Once again, the Prime Minister's Director of Communications, played by Peter Capaldi, is ready to fight fires caused by The Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship for eight brand new episodes. This time, after a reshuffle, the last one before the General Election he has a new Social Affairs Secretary to deal with, in the form of Nicola Murray, played by Rebecca Front. Nicola Murray will be in charge of regular cast members including Ollie, played by Chris Addison, James Smith who plays Glenn and Joanna Scanlan as the ineffectual Departmental Press Secretary, Terri. And, with the government at a low ebb, and an election looming, the opposition are also in Tucker's sights. The new stories welcome back Her Majesty's loyal opposition in the form of Peter Mannion, played by Roger Allam, as they try to steal the initiative from the government.

Heard a few people speaking about this.... what is it like?  Drop the dead donkey or something similar?

Watched the first 3 episodes of Eastbound & Down over the weekend.  Absolutely hilarious.... if you like Will Ferrell style, contrived, puerile humour that is!
