mizer Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Why in god's name have they got Katie Apprentice on Question Time? What a thoroughly vile, ignorant, thatcherite bitch. I think she may be standing for the BNP next time round Quote
Cowie Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Currently getting through Sons of Anarchy, almost at the end of season one - heard mixed reviews, but seems ok so far. Quite looking forward to seeing Boardwalk Empire on Sky Atlantic when it starts - trailers look good. Quote

Kowalski Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 Another fairly interesting documentary from Louis Theroux last night, about the West Bank in Israel. A fair few loony's on both sides. Quote
Goldie03 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Human Planet which is excellent and Embarrassing Bodies which can be gruesome but fascinating at the same time Quote
Reekie_Red Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Human Planet which is excellent One of the few natural-world documentaries that I've been glued to. Other worthy contenders include "Earth: The Power Of The Planets" and "Stephen Hawking: The Story Of Everything" Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 there's a good documentary on Fleetwood Mac coming on BBC4 in 2mins. It's a repeat but it's really good and I really love Stevie Nicks. Did you know that William Shatner once asked her to marry him? But she said "no" as she didn't want to be known as Stevie Shatner-Nicks. True story. Quote
manc_don Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Currently getting through Sons of Anarchy, almost at the end of season one - heard mixed reviews, but seems ok so far. Quite looking forward to seeing Boardwalk Empire on Sky Atlantic when it starts - trailers look good. Finally got to see the first episode of boardwalk empire yesterday, pretty good so far. Nice and bloody too. Quote
Kowalski Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Posted February 7, 2011 One of the few natural-world documentaries that I've been glued to. John Hurt is a superb narrator for it, but that scene with the toasted tarantulas was tough to watch! Quote

baggy89 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Finally got to see the first episode of boardwalk empire yesterday, pretty good so far. Nice and bloody too. Watched the whole series in American time. Wait till Jimmy's mate Richard comes into to it. The scene with Liam in the Coffee shop, brilliant! And I think Michael Kenneth Williams may have found, in Chalky White, a character at least as cool as Omar. Quote
Cowie Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Got a couple of TV series on the go just now - Sky Atlantic means there is not enough hours in the day.. However, I have just finished watching Sons of Anarchy season two. Its great. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 So this weeks panel on Question Time. Who is the most unbearable? Janice Street Teeth or Fraser-edinburgh toff- the Spectator editor. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Fucking hell. Is Peter Hain talking some amount of shit. It's ok to sell weapons to dictatorships apparently as we tell them to behave and not use them against their own people or be naughty. Is he fucking mental? Jesus i'm even agreeing with Fraser Nelson! Quote

Kowalski Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 The end of one of the poorer Top Gear series. They do seem to be running out of ideas, although the moon buggy bit was excellent. Quote

Have to agree, I hope it's their last. I think it's run it's course as a format. Been a great programme, but it just seemed like they were trying to find new ideas and failing. Racing across england against the sun? Poor. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 If you like your panel shows then there's a 24 hour panel show marathon for Comic Relief being streamed here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/rednoseday/24hourpanelpeople/ Full schedule here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/rednoseday/24hourpanelpeople/schedule.shtml Quote
Stewart Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Did anyone else watch Mad Dogs? Thought it was shite overall. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 8, 2011 Author Report Posted March 8, 2011 Did anyone else watch Mad Dogs? Thought it was shite overall. I saw it. Thought some of it was alright but the final episode was terrible. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 QT in auld reekie tonight. I'm sure the panel won't have me throwing things at the TV this week.........oh: David Dimbleby is joined in Edinburgh by Michael Moore MP, Douglas Alexander MP, Annabel Goldie MSP, Patrick Harvie MSP, Nicola Sturgeon MSP and Nick Ferrari. Not often a Tory is the least objectionable individual on the panel, toss up between Alexander and Ferrari for über twat on this one. Quote
mizer Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Nicola 'Rangers and Celtic are two great teams' Sturgeon Quote
