TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 After a shaky first few episodes, homeland is well and truly back. For shaky read fucking appalling. Too reliant upon sketchy minded bints and a lassie wi bi-polar jumping on and off meds. We'll see if tonights episode gets away fae that shite. Quote
Goldie03 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 After a shaky first few episodes, homeland is well and truly back. I got the box set of the first series last Christmas and still haven't got round to watching it yet! Any good Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Series 1 is very good, series 2 isn't as good but very watchable. Thus far series 3 is like a shite soap. Quote
Goldie03 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 I hate soaps but I do like Damien Lewis so will probably give it a bash Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 I hate soaps but I do like Damien Lewis so will probably give it a bash The 1st series was adapted from an Israeli series. The subsequent series have been entirely Yank generated. It shows, particularly the current one. Quote
BigAl Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Series 1 is very good, series 2 isn't as good but very watchable. Thus far series 3 is like a shite soap. Couldn't have put it better myself Quote

Kowalski Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 I'm actually watching the first series of Homeland, reached episode 7. It's pretty good but so far but not a patch on some of the Scandinavian stuff that's been on BBC4 over the last few years IMHO. Quote
BigAl Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Anyone else watching "The Tunnel" ? Quote
Kowalski Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 Anyone else watching "The Tunnel" ? No but doubt it's as good as The Bridge which it was based on. Quote
tlg1903 Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 No but doubt it's as good as The Bridge which it was based on. Tru dat Bridge series 2 starts this month too http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/arts-books/the-50-best-autumn-arts-8788225.html?action=gallery&ino=11 Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 No but doubt it's as good as The Bridge which it was based on. It's difficult to judge, having seen The Bridge and thoroughly enjoyed it, knowing what's happening next really diminishes as suspense. I have to say I like The Tunnel and I like Stephen Dillane. The 1st series of Homeland was excellent. Quote
Andrew Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Just finished watching The Bridge. Was really very good. Much better story than the Killing I think. I wish there could have been a few extra episodes though. It felt that they easily could have pushed it out to 15 and 20 episodes and developed the characters and story more. Quote
Kowalski Posted December 1, 2013 Author Report Posted December 1, 2013 If there's a better MILF on TV than Susanna Reid then I'd be very surprised. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted December 1, 2013 Report Posted December 1, 2013 If there's a better MILF on TV than Susanna Reid then I'd be very surprised. I concur. Amazing broad. Quote
Kowalski Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Sherlock took a bit of time to get going but thought it was excellent by the end. Quote
manc_don Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Sherlock took a bit of time to get going but thought it was excellent by the end. Yeah I wasn't convinced by the start so will watch it on iPlayer. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Series 2 of The Bridge starts on BBC4 on 4th January. Quote
tom_widdows Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Yon latest series of Rab C Nesbitt is even worse than the last one. Really should have left it well alone. Was never 'west end' quality but the 'new characters' acting abilities are more wooden than Paul McCartney's leg fetish Quote
Kowalski Posted January 3, 2014 Author Report Posted January 3, 2014 Series 2 of The Bridge starts on BBC4 on 4th January. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Just re-watched the first 4 parts of Top Boy because I saw there are another 4 parts to it. Pretty good. Although I find it hard to believe they couldn't find some better actors. Quote
Kowalski Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Posted January 6, 2014 The first two episodes of The Bridge were excellent. The second episode of Sherlock was not. Quote
tom_widdows Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Dear fuck they've made a new series of 'Birds of a feather' :hammer: Quote
