Kowalski Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 If everybody's fit. I'll go for Langfield Vidal Diamond Mair Mulgrew Smith Kerr Severin Aluko Mackie Miller Tough call re:Mulgrew as he is a poor defender, but contributes to the attack (now and again!). Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Langfield Vidal Diamond Severin Mulgrew Smith Kerr McDonald Aluko Mackie Miller I think the balance in the midfield has looked good with Kerr and McDonald, so although I prefer Severin in midfield, I'd sacrifice that and have him in defence. Guest ally s Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I agree with BB, I think we've missed McDonald over the last few games and Seve is playing well at centre half. Langfield Vidal Diamond Severin Mulgrew Smith Kerr McDonald Aluko Miller Mackie Quote

I agree with that, its easily our strongest XI but I would rather we had a LB that could actually defend But hey, beggers can't be chosers and all that and he does contribute to a number of our goals Quote

El Padre™ Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Mulgrews been our worst player (by some considerable amount) recently, I'd drop him for Foster right now. Quote
vinny de salvo Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Langfield Vidal Diamond Considine Mulgrew Severin Kerr McDonald Smith Aluko Miller Quote
boboisared Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Obviously I can't say this is our best 11, but with everyone fit i'd like to see... Langfield Vidal Diamond Considine Mulgrew Kerr Severin McDonald Smith Aluko Miller Quote

Langfield Vidal Diamond Considine Mulgrew Kerr Severin McDonald Smith Aluko Miller Play that and you'll be accused of playing 1 up front at home! Quote
boboisared Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Play that and you'll be accused of playing 1 up front at home! It becomes 4 up top when attacking, actually 6 with the attacking full backs. Total fucking football Quote

dunblanedon Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 After tonight here's what we should go with on Saturday. I can't believe everyone else rates Vidal - he's a liability Langfield Foster Diamond Considine Mulgrew Severin Aluko Kerr Smith Wright Mackie No doubt Jimmy will have the Tombola out and play Duff and Mair somewhere though Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Mair was fairly culpable last night. Consi is, at worst, on a par with Mair. Vidal just doesn't seem to know what he's doing and doesn't tackle much or very well for a right back. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 Vidal just doesn't seem to know what he's doing and doesn't tackle much or very well for a right back. That's disappointing as he has done well in the last couple of home games. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Honestly Kow, he was totally lost last night. Didn't get up the wing in support, didn't get tight to his man, was marking no cunt more often than not. He can play a bit of fitba, I get the impression he's just not busting a gut. Quote
dave_min Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 For some reason Vidal kept letting the St Mirren attackers move inside. Any defender knows that you make them try and go on the outside but he just opened it up for them to move inside. As Funster said he was invariably marking nobody and did seem a bit lost. I thought he was meant to be a Midfielder though? Didn't somebody on here say they met him and asked him and he said he's always been a midfielder? Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 What's our best starting XI? Currently, and sadly, I have no idea. Quote
