Superstar Tradesman Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Apparently if you use this site you don't go to games on a regular basis. I'm also now being told on a daily basis that fans "get the team they deserve". Can anyone explain to me why Liverpool or Man U are doing so well given the amount of Aberdeen based fans who support them? Quote
Roccovellhung Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I like the 'fans get what they deserve' line trotted out on a regular basis - its got a good buddhist vibe to and makes me want to do good things, then I can reap the benefits in my next life and join the billion other supporter of one of the EPL franschise clubs.....yas! dave_min Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Apparently if you use this site you don't go to games on a regular basis. Should I head back over to the 'Other' side then? I've only stopped going to away games cause at the last one I was at I met both Stewart & Mizer. Nothing to do with Calderwood I'm also now being told on a daily basis that fans "get the team they deserve". After the shite we went through the 10+ years before Calderwood. Surely, we're due at least A Champs League Final by now? Can anyone explain to me why Liverpool or Man U are doing so well given the amount of Aberdeen based fans who support them? Because they don't have Jimmy Calderwood in charge silly!! Free the Donstalk 1? Quote

baggy89 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Here's my thought for the day. The views of internet Aberdeen fans are cyclical... Start pre-season with great hope. Talking up chances of some silverware, slagging off some signings bigging up others. Then, after the first few games, disillusionment. "We're shite, the signing that had been slagged off is worse/better than expected, the bigged up signing is pish, Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse". A few more disappointing results. "Jimmy is crap why does he mess with the formation,Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse" Some excellent results, positivity returns. Couple of decent wins see us back where we should be 3rd/4th. "We're on our way to Europe, can see us beginning to challenge Old Firm again but still, Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse" Run of games maintaining this position, fan's get bored but not of saying "Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse". One very bad result/couple of quite bad results. "Sack Jimmy he's a crap orange balloon from Glasgow and Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse" Cue holidays, time to reflect on Seve being a crap captain Foster not being a footballer, Mackie being unable to hit a barn door with a cows arse, before the same cycle occurs again. I wonder if David Attenborough would be interested in a documentary about it? Plenty of sub-stories like the unexplained aggression of the average afc-hatter, or the strange feeding habits of the lesser(how could you nae) spotted Minijc. Quote
manc_don Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I'm sensing a trend in you post there baggy Quote
Kowalski Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I'm also now being told on a daily basis that fans "get the team they deserve". As far as I was aware, that phrase is in reference to those who protested while we are pushing for European qualification. Quote
