Montana Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Mark McGhee Craig Levein Willie Miller Jim Jeffries John Hughes Eric Black Billy Reid Steve Coppell Loads of names in the mix?? Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 It'll be him. I'll be straight down for a refund if that's the case! Quote
Stewart Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 I've heard it may be Eric Black. Compensation would cost a bit though? Quote
tom_widdows Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 well considering how shite hes being treated down Brum and rumours of a change of managementdown there too id like to see this line up together in the dugout Quote
Mentorred Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Kevin Keegan. But then who do we get in in 6 months time? Quote
Stewart Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Lets get in there before PSG can get him. Quote
Penfold Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 But then who do we get in in 6 months time? Arild Stavrum. Quote
minijc Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 If the club is serious in going forward push the boat out get in Darren Ferguson. Quote
glasgowdon Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Miller wrote in his book that he would never "employ" a former team mate. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Compensation would cost a bit though? Maybe not. There are rumours that Steve Bruce is going to take the Sunderland job, if they resign from Wigan, we may not have to pay anything. Quote
BrownyBrown Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 JJ is the most depressing man in sports-management. Fuck right off. Quote
Stewart Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Maybe not. There are rumours that Steve Bruce is going to take the Sunderland job, if they resign from Wigan, we may not have to pay anything. Oh yeah, I heard about that today actually. Maybe we'll replace JC with another JC. Quote
glasgowdon Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Quite disappointed that people are celebrating on AFC-Shat. McGhee is not the answer. Quote
minijc Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 I wish I had the morn off of work as I'd be out getting wrecked at this news, us in europe, him gone, all we need now is a couple of cracking players in, this would have been a Lionel day had I got tomorrow off. Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Quite disappointed that people are celebrating on AFC-Shat. McGhee is not the answer. Yeah, I mean I wanted a change in management team but I don't think that's right. He deserves respect simply because when you whittle away all the other stuff, he has progressed us hugely and we're back in Europe again. Dancing on his grave, so to speak, is pretty poor in my book. Mackie's ace! Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 JMG, after all, he got us to Europe and we finished 4th, which is shit. Quite a turnaround from when we were bottom of the league though. Quote

Celebrating Europe whilst celebrating the downfall of the manager who took us there. Pretty poor form I think. Quote
Montana Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 I have mixed emotions about this announcement especially on the day where we secure another venture into Europe. Calderwood has given us stablity, respectability, consistent Top 6 finishes and a great European run. Calderwood has also divided our fans, given us 2 of the worst moments of being a Dons fan QOTS/DA and has also frustrated endlessly with tactical tinkering and slavering in the press. Only time will tell if this will be good for the club, the next managerial appointment is crucial. However I am really concerned for next season and in this current financial climate is 2 european ties plus potential of more a big enough carrot for a new manager, we won't have the funds to put out there to attract one! I always asked who would everyone that hates Calderwood replace him with - I guess now we'll find out.. Quote
minijc Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Who are we gonna get in? I am not sure, plenty of decent managers out there that we could attract, it's a tough decision like, lets hope it's the right one. Yeah, I mean I wanted a change in management team but I don't think that's right. He deserves respect simply because when you whittle away all the other stuff, he has progressed us hugely and we're back in Europe again. Dancing on his grave, so to speak, is pretty poor in my book. We are all greatful for what he has done but, some have now gotten their wish, so we have every right to be happy. Celebrating Europe whilst celebrating the downfall of the manager who took us there. Pretty poor form I think. He has been on the downfall for the best part of a year and half, in league cups he has been stinking, his tactics have been on a downfall for ages as has been his attitude towards the clubs budget and fans. Mentorred Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Maybe Fergie will want to leave Man United on a high after he defeats Barcelona on Wednesday Quote
