Guest swaddon Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 In which round do we enter the league cup? In bygone years, the Euro representatives got in in round three, but as there's so many of us this season, will it make any difference? Quote
Harcus Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 In which round do we enter the league cup? In bygone years, the Euro representatives got in in round three, but as there's so many of us this season, will it make any difference? Pretty sure they did some jiggery pokery with the set up this year because of six (!) Euro reps. but we enter at the third round along with Rangers, Celtic, etc. Quote
tom_widdows Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I think we can be reasonably happy with that start. The Celtic game should be a cracker, especially given what has happened with McGhee over the summer. With a (likely) full house, think we can get at least a point in that one. The four games after are all winnable, so we should be in a very healthy position after the first five games i just hope its better than the last time a new Aberdeen manager came up against a new celtic manager on the opening day of the season at pittodrie http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football-new-era-starts-in-style-for-celtic-1110137.html The report kindly left out Eoin Jess missing a penalty :hammer: Quote

St Johnstone and St Mirren enter at round one because there's so many teams in Europe. Quote
