BobbyBiscuit Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Although it's from the Daily Star, I did hear the other day that Hearts had already contacted the club regarding a move for Miller. Ideally I obviously wouldn't want to lose him, but if he's going to go, how much could we realistically get for him? Might be an idea to punt him before his pending loan transfer to the Big House FC anyway... Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo is targeting moves for Aberdeen striker Lee Miller and out-of-contract Motherwell midfielder Stephen Hughes. (Daily Star) Quote
Friedrichs Moustache Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 For a smaller club in the same league... £2m please. Quote
Guest ally s Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 A couple of things 1. I doubt very much Hearts could afford him. 2. I reckon Miller will be away come the end of the season, he'll probably sign for an English Championship club. Quote
El Padre™ Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 As discussed elsewhere, if it funds a successful move for Clarkson then I wouldn't be too fussed. Millers pretty well settled in Aberdeen now though is he not? Quote
baggy89 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I appreciate Miller has improved as a player in the last few years but I would be surprised if Championship sides were lining up for his signature next season, given he has already failed at L1 level in England. But lets face it with a year left on his contract and only six months till he can sign a pre-contract elsewhere can you see the club turning down anything over £1million, or in all honesty £750000? Tyrant Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 As discussed elsewhere, if it funds a successful move for Clarkson then I wouldn't be too fussed. Millers pretty well settled in Aberdeen now though is he not? Granted. But give him a slight pay rise and you wouldn't see him for dust. Quote
Azteca1903 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Surely the logical approach here would be to offer him a new deal. If he accepts, end of story, if he rejects then we sell him. He's good but he's not irreplacable by any means. Wouldn't be keen to sell to Hearts, seeing as theres no guarentee of us ever recieving the full sum of money... Quote
boboisared Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 If we're playing with wingers and keeping the ball on the deck I genuinely don't think there is a better player we could realistically aford to keep the ball and feed it to the wings. The only downside is Miller doesn't really have the pace to make a gut busting run into the box for the cross so we'd be looking at the other winger to score their fair share of goals. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I think we'd snap their hand off for half a million to be honest. I'd hate to think they would accept as little as that but deep down I know it's true. Quote

dave_min Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Club or the city? Cos i was under the impression that he was still living in Perth. He moved to Aberdeen the start of last season I think it was, around the time he got caught speeding (and his form picked up) Quote
