TheGaffer Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Dons boss mark mchee is weighing up a move for jamie mccunnie who wants to return north from hartlepool. Now i know we have no transfer funds but there MUST be better free transfers than this diddy. Quote
TheGaffer Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 Sauce? Yeah i have seen him play when he was with scumdee united and he was dreadful In today's sundaymail p84 Quote
El Padre™ Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 I'd rather have Byrne back, at least he had comedy value! Quote
Jute Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 I'd rather have Byrne back, at least he had comedy value! Would not go that far but would agree that he is not of the level we should be looking at. Always looked pretty pish at Arabs. Surley we can do better than a guy freed from a team that finished 19th in the English 3rd division or are we really that skint. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Why has there been no mention of a goalkeeper seeing as we still have Bossu The Clown as back up. Quote
redordead Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 was a very promising player at utd, I thought he left them for better things, thought he'd gone abroad before england. Maybe failed to settle, in which case a move to us might well do the trick, or possibly he got a lot worse. I think he'd be a decent option and let mulgrew move up the park. Quote

Certainly don't remember him being good but I thought Jim Paterson was the supposed option there? Moving Mulgrew up the park may be a decent option were it not for his utter inability to tackle and an ability to look like he's towing an oil tanker. Quote
BigAl Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Just to add fuel to the fire, JC was apparently contemplating making a move for McCunnie as well prior to getting the bullet Quote
Jute Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Never went abroad - went to Ross County before he got his move down south. Went to Dunfermline after County before moving South. Quote
BrownyBrown Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Hmmm. So a Mark McGhee non-signing is being criticised before even kicking a ball for a club he hasn't even signed for yet? You can change the manager, but the fans stay the same! Quote
El Padre™ Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 I reckon Jamie would be a good signing - he's always had a good work ethic and isn't into all the drinking culture like so many other primadonna footballers. Yer right about the fans MarkyMark - most could probably count the games they've seen him play in on one hand and are already preparing their boos. Real fuckin idiots. BOOOOOOOOOOOO! Quote
BigAl Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 If he was "contemplating" it - he never let Jamie know! Just quoting NOTW page 79 Quote
boboisared Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 On this occasion my source is much more reliable than the NOTW McCunnie to sign on Thursday. Quote
