Mackie's ace! Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Is it to early to be realistic since the full time whistle hasn't gone? It's our 4th game of the pre season. We're not match fit. The season isn't over yet. Mark McGhee is not the messiah and can't make an unfit team win. There's still 32 days left to make signings. Erm...yeah. More to come I'm sure...that's goals for Sigma obviously. TF - I was under the impression that Mair wasn't about the money or "affording" him, just that he wanted to get a contract sorted and this wasn't forthcoming when JC was sacked and the protracted appointment of MM. St Mirren offered him a contract and he went. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Sorry Glasgow. Which position is MM playing in tonight? Its the players on that pitch tonight which are a disgrace. He did put Young at right back and Duff at centre back...even Jimmy wouldn't do that. The boos have started, fickle fans! Quote

Miller has a lot of responsibilty here as part of a board that has, thus far at least, spectacularly cocked it. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 This is going to get us the extra 4000 support per game isn't it. Be lucky to get 4000 all season now Quote
capitalsharpie Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 "The guts of the team that drew 2 2 against Bayern", yes. Also the guts of the team that lost 4 0 yo UNT and QOS in the cups. Quote
Goldie03 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Disaster Right out of europe already Lets concentrate on the league Quote
glasgowdon Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Sorry Glasgow. Which position is MM playing in tonight? Its the players on that pitch tonight which are a disgrace. Putting out a 4-3-3 is tactically horrible. Add to that it's tombola defence and I think he's a nugget. Quote
baggy89 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Acording to Willie spin the reason Calderwood was sacked was because his lack of vision in improving the team. At least his vision was realistic. Jimmy's tactics were also mentioned, MMG superior tactics give us Young at RB and Duff at CB??? Dis-heartened is not the word. Quote
glasgowdon Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 This has made me LOL slightly - http://www.afc-chat.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=23443 Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Disaster Right out of europe already Lets concentrate on the league He'll get it right. But booing a 5-1 tanking at home is far from fickle. Quote

Madbadteacher Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 So, after the press release and recent comments in the papers, I take it all the players with expiring contracts can start looking now? More signings for Dundee....... Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 The board an WM KNEW that early Euro games were coming. NOTHING was done to help MM for his new team. Perhaps MM knew our defensive weaknesses and is trying to paper over massive cracks? Nothing? By that do you mean no money? Wonder where it all went . . . . . Fucking McGhee knew he had fucking qualifiers too! No fucking excuses!! None! Quote

Madbadteacher Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Thank you AFC. The most fucking awful 6 months of my life and now this! Quote
ntbear Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 The club is a fucking shambles, and a disgrace. If it is not clear to everyone now that we need shot of Wiggy and his inept board, along with Miller, then they are just retarded. Without decent players AFC will gradually fade down the leagues and out of existence, would rather go with a bang by speculating on players and watching some decent football. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Why do people STILL think Milne should be giving AFC money? Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 From the BBC text commentary The final whistle is blown by the referee. THANK FUCK! Quote
capitalsharpie Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I wouldnt blame MM for going to the board with as list of positions that need filling, and that if he doesnt see much, much more backing from the board to achieve this, then threartenin to walk at the soonest oppertunity is the action to take. Quote
dunblanedon Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 We need to back a Manager with cash or be honest with the fans about our real ambitions instead of spouting pish. Milne is one of the UK's wealthiest men, but let's be honest, he couldn't give a toss about the team. He just wants to build houses on Pittodrie, sell them for profit and recoup the financial benefit from building the new stadium. If MMG has any guts whatsoever, he should threaten to resign now if he's not given the funds required. Perhaps that would illicit some reaction from Milne, Miller, Fraser et all. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Perhaps thats why MM was trying to sign all those players that we have seen slip through our fingers? Maybe? They didn't "slip through our fingers". They were unrealistic. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I've calmed down a bit, put this in perspective, it's only one game of football. And we can easily do them 6-0 over there Quote

ntbear Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Why do people STILL think Milne should be giving AFC money? He's the fucking chairman and #1 fan(©Wiggy) If he won't pump money in, who the fuck else will? Quote
