Dandy_Don Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Not really following the game, how are we lined up? Been getting text updates from sharpie. Shocking score so far. We have been woeful. They had another pen but Langfield saved. Considine should pack his bags now. He is not good enough to be a professional footballer. I thought Duff has played ok given that it isn't his position, and has looked composed. Langfield played ok also. Everyone else was absolutely mince. The young lad Megginson did well when he came on, albeit only for a few mins. Some of the fans paid a lot of money to go and support the team, and those players let them down big style. No skill, no passion, no commitment, no fight. Quote
Kowalski Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Is there trouble in the crowd? Another DT'er got a text from the game saying it was kicking off between the fans? Quote
glasgow sheep Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Is there trouble in the crowd? Another DT'er got a text from the game saying it was kicking off between the fans? It looked like it on the dodgy link I was watching but my source at the game said someone intervened before anything happened Quote
Ptayles Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Considine for the firing squad! Shoot that bastard What does every one else seem to see in Aluko He seems to try and beat a whole team, lose the ball and then moan like fuck Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 just reading the BBC Text "live" reports. it looks like we didn't have one shot the whole game ! Quote

Ptayles Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Not a lot he can do if he's getting marked out the game by 2 players. Fair enough but why if you have 2 players marking do you try and beat them both when he could keep it simple maybe hold the ball or win a FK Quote
Kowalski Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I don't care what anyone says, but we should not be getting horsed 8-1 in the Europe unless its Barcelona or Man Utd. McGhee needs players in ASAP, but it'll take him a long time to get over this result. Quote
Kowalski Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Not a lot he can do if he's getting marked out the game by 2 players. Aye, but one of them was Foster. Quote

Ptayles Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 And why do we only have 1 player in our team they felt they needed to mark The defence is awful They dont know how to mark a player which is appauling Quote

Kowalski Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee rued defensive lapses as the Dons went out of the Europa League with an 8-1 aggregate defeat by Sigma Olomouc. "It was another difficult night for us," said McGhee after the 3-0 second leg loss at the Andruv Stadion. "It was an unfortunate first 15 minutes. We conceded clumsy goals. We were beaten by a very good team and we wish them well. "The pleasing thing was that even when it was 3-0, the team stuck together." Despite the margin of defeat, McGhee believes his side can take positives from the third qualifying round tie as they prepare to open their Scottish Premier League campaign at home to Celtic. "I think I could have seen progress in these two games," he added. "We can learn from the service they got to their strikers and we can try to play the same way as they played. "We are going to put it behind us and use it as a learning process. "We are much more ready for the Celtic game than before the last two matches." Quote
Ajja Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 So we have learned that if we play more like another team do then we would be better. Quote
stubo72 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 So we have learned that if we play more like another team do then we would be better. McGhee is clearly a tactical genius after all. Basically he is saying, 'If we played better, like the team that humped us did, we would maybe no get humped by every team we play that plays better than we do... or something...' He thinks that that he 'could have seen progress' - er... that's not quite the same thing as actually seeing progress is it?! 'We are much more ready for the Celtic game' - WTF does that even mean? 'We've had a bit of practice getting pissed all over by a better team'??!? Magic... Quote
