ABERDEEN FC fans today told how they were attacked, stripped and robbed during a gang attack in the Czech Republic.

Riot cops were called in to tackle the second wave of attacks – after tear gas was thrown into an Irish bar in Olomouc where Aberdeen FC supporters were having a quiet drink.

Lisa Massie was one of several Aberdeen FC fans attacked in Olomouc by Czech thugs.

The 28-year-old, from Peterhead, was knocked to the ground on her way to watch Aberdeen's Europa League match with Sigma Olomouc. Czech supporters pounced near Olomouc city centre around 7pm.

She said: “It was scary because you were in a foreign country and you didn’t know if they were carrying knives.â€

TERRIFIED Aberdeen fans told last night how they were were forced to flee a pub after a tear gas attack by Czech hooligans.

Around 25 supporters were inside the pub in Olomouc when the thugs struck early yesterday.

Fighting broke out after yobs from Europa League rivals SK Sigma lobbed the devices through the front door and window. Three men were seen speeding off in a car while Dons fans scrambled to evacuate busy Irish pub The Crack as it filled with toxic fumes. Some Scots were locked inside neighbouring bars for their own safety as trouble flared on the streets.

It's understood one Aberdeen man suffered a facial injury.

Lisa Massie, 28, and boyfriend Scott Baird, 24, both of Peterhead, were caught up in the horror.

Lisa said: "It was pretty terrifying - everyone was panicking. We were really shaken up."

Scott added: "The room started to fill with smoke. Our eyes were nipping, we couldn't figure out what was going on. It's such a shame, the people have been really friendly."

Graham Campsie, 43, of Edinburgh, who owns The Crack, said: "The fans were having a good time. Then some Sigma fans decided to cause havoc. They drove up and threw two canisters of tear gas.

"Everyone made a mad rush for the door. Then some fights started outside - it was completely chaotic." Two known Sigma hooligans were arrested. An Aberdeen spokesman said: "Our fans are completely innocent. These guys were idiots."

Sigma yobs also pounced on fans on the way to the game, which Aberdeen lost 3-0. Before kick-off, the stadium announcer told travelling supporters: "We would like to say sorry."

Folk who call themselves "football fans" eh?  Really makes me sick.  Do we have a reputation or something because it`s the second time in two years we`ve been back page news on our travels.  Of course Atletico Madrid and Sigma Olomouc should maybe have a word or two with their supporters but me thinks that ain`t going to happen.  Why can`t people just enjoy the game for what it is...a laugh and a joke nothing more nothing less.

In a word, yes.

I have witnessed nonsense every time I have been abroad or in England following Aberdeen. It can be pretty embarrassing.

Sad to say I have to say I'd agree with you on that Sharpie, no to mentioned some of the fuckwittery I've seen o'er the years from some of our "fans" at and around SPL grounds ::)

Lets hope that isn't repeated on Sunday

I share your hope. I'm reasonably optomistic about it too, I think this game will have a slightly different atmosphere to normal pre-season friendlies.

I am however, often wrong.

Liar.

You are normally to drunk to see or remember anything.

The way this has been reported makes it sound like there was running battles out there. The sigma fans were fantastic and despite those few incidents everyone had a brilliant time. I see that the papers didn't report that it was sigma fans who got a hold of the culprits and called the cops. They were very embarresed about it all, hence the very humble announcement in the stadium. I'm far more apprehensive about travelling to England tomorrow.

Why? A lot of people were saying this but I couldn't see it. For once I was right. There was never a hint of trouble neither was there even a hint of tension that could lead to trouble. Completely relaxed atmosphere all day. Thier fans even applauded our bus convoy whilst we were getting escorted out of Hull.

Yep, everything was fantastic yesterday, the Hull fans were great. 33u4mc9.gif

Yeah - singing "Rangers, Rangers" was great  ::)

Come on, min. Cousins got dogs abuse from us at every possible opportunity. Defending him is a natural reaction! Can't have been many that sang it. I never heard it.

Cant say we were applauded when we arrived

More greeted with looks of concern, curtains closed, doors locked, shutters pulled down.

Was fair amount singing it on the left hand side - yer right though - The hun bastard did take some pelters  ;D

I thought he dealt with it very well also. I'm almost tempted to say he went up in my estimation. Maybe he wasn't a hun long enough to have let the knuckle-dragging masses influence him long-term.

Our reputation preceeds us! Or are we being tarred with the Huns-in-Manchester brush?
