Riot cops were called in to tackle the second wave of attacks – after tear gas was thrown into an Irish bar in Olomouc where Aberdeen FC supporters were having a quiet drink. Lisa Massie was one of several Aberdeen FC fans attacked in Olomouc by Czech thugs. The 28-year-old, from Peterhead, was knocked to the ground on her way to watch Aberdeen's Europa League match with Sigma Olomouc. Czech supporters pounced near Olomouc city centre around 7pm. Around 25 supporters were inside the pub in Olomouc when the thugs struck early yesterday. Fighting broke out after yobs from Europa League rivals SK Sigma lobbed the devices through the front door and window. Three men were seen speeding off in a car while Dons fans scrambled to evacuate busy Irish pub The Crack as it filled with toxic fumes. Some Scots were locked inside neighbouring bars for their own safety as trouble flared on the streets. It's understood one Aberdeen man suffered a facial injury. Lisa Massie, 28, and boyfriend Scott Baird, 24, both of Peterhead, were caught up in the horror. Lisa said: "It was pretty terrifying - everyone was panicking. We were really shaken up." Scott added: "The room started to fill with smoke. Our eyes were nipping, we couldn't figure out what was going on. It's such a shame, the people have been really friendly." Graham Campsie, 43, of Edinburgh, who owns The Crack, said: "The fans were having a good time. Then some Sigma fans decided to cause havoc. They drove up and threw two canisters of tear gas. "Everyone made a mad rush for the door. Then some fights started outside - it was completely chaotic." Two known Sigma hooligans were arrested.An Aberdeen spokesman said: "Our fans are completely innocent. These guys were idiots." Sigma yobs also pounced on fans on the way to the game, which Aberdeen lost 3-0. Before kick-off, the stadium announcer told travelling supporters: "We would like to say sorry." Quote

The sigma fans were fantastic and despite those few incidents everyone had a brilliant time. I see that the papers didn't report that it was sigma fans who got a hold of the culprits and called the cops. They were very embarresed about it all, hence the very humble announcement in the stadium. I'm far more apprehensive about travelling to England tomorrow. Quote
