Cowie Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Unfucking believable. We are rapidly turning into a joke club again.. Quote
boboisared Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 The players aren't fit to wear the shirt....but the man who thought they were is cheered? Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 The players aren't fit to wear the shirt....but the man who thought they were is cheered? He can only work with the players he has at the club. (i'm not sayin he should have been cheered or otherwise, but he can't pick players to play for us that he doesn't have.) Quote
dave_min Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Its his job to get players who are fit to wear the shirt too though Quote
dave_min Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I was hoping for at least a centre half Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Its his job to get players who are fit to wear the shirt too though Of course it is. But how many did you think he was going to bring in for god's sake? 11? 12? 13? Let's get real here, eh? Quote
stoney Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Unfucking believable. We are rapidly turning into a joke club again.. When have we ever not been a joke of a club. At least we have a decent manager now Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I was hoping for at least a centre half Weren't we all? Does getting one centre half in make the rest of them good players? (he should still have made signings by now, of course, and he has to take flak for that, but in the main, he has to work with what he has which is not a lot in more ways than one) Quote
Kowalski Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 At least we have a decent manager now Source? Quote
Harcus Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I would imagine the collective IQ of those "demonstrating" would just about scrape into double figures. Quote
bilbobaggins Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Considerably smaller than the collective waist size. Cheering a manager who decided playing 4-3-3 against a team who were clearly fitter, technically more acomplished and frankly superior in every way? Bizarre in the extreme. Quote
BigAl Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 When have we ever not been a joke of a club. At least we have a decent manager now Factual information to back up that statement....... No, thought not Quote

Probably worth point out we played 4-4-2 last night, according to Redweb. Quote

They were 4-4-2 last night (supposedly), same as they played all last season. Although he probably didn't realise he'd have to re-train them about that... Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Exactly. In fairness, if they were in 4-4-2 they would still have got pumped. You know it and I know it. Quote
dave_min Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 In fairness, if they were in 4-4-2 they would still have got pumped. You know it and I know it. No doubt. But had McGhee bothered to arrange and pre-season friendlies he'd maybe have realised that the team wasn't able to pull off the 4-3-3 formation before trying it out in our first competitive game of the season :-/ Quote
dave_min Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Agree with that too. No accounting for your centre half acting like a fucking dingle though is there? No denying that either. Quote
