El Padre™ Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Could be a difficult one since Motherwell seem to have some goals in them at the moment but if we can contain that then we should be able to take the points as we look like we might have some goals in us ourselves. It looks like see the same team as last weeks although I suppose it depends on the fitness of Zander and McDonald. I wouldn't mind seeing Paton get a run out this weekend at some point though, especially if Miller has a similar performance to last Saturday. Mulgrew Ifil Consi Crawford Aluko Kerr Fyvie Foster Miller Mackie As long as we tighten up in the middle of the park, press a bit quicker and keep our passes in the direction of the red shirts we should have no problem. 2-1 Dons. Mackie, Aluko Come on you reds! Quote
Guest ally s Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Gutted I'm going to miss this one, has the makings of a really good game. I fancy us to win by the odd goal, I'll go for 3-2. Motherwell will be out to put one over McGhee and vice versa which adds a bit of spice to the occasion. Quote
Stewart Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Paper said Diamond is out so I'd go with the same again. Maybe McDonald in for Fyvie if he's fit. Quote
Ajja Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Paper said Diamond is out so I'd go with the same again. Maybe McDonald in for Fyvie if he's fit. MacDonald and Fyvie with Foster dropping back to replace Crawford ? Quote
El Padre™ Posted August 26, 2009 Author Report Posted August 26, 2009 MacDonald and Fyvie with Foster dropping back to replace Crawford ? And drop our captain? ARE YOU KARAYZEEE?? Quote
Ajja Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 And drop our captain? ARE YOU KARAYZEEE?? I hadn't suggested that but I suppose playing all of Kerr, MacDonald and Fyvie might unbalance the midfield ? Quote
Guest ally s Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 I hadn't suggested that but I suppose playing all of Kerr, MacDonald and Fyvie might unbalance the midfield ? McDonald's played wide right for us before so there is that option. Quote
Ajja Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Good stuff, thats midfield sorted. I'd still have a serious look at leaving Miller out and trying Paton up top with Maguire as he will be buzzing after hi sstrike last week. I know McGhee has hinted that Paton needs to work harder in training but he shows a lot of natural ability when played. Quote
glasgowdon Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Pawlett still injured? Same team as Saturday. Consi looks well more composed when he's not the "leading" centre half. Maybe give Bebo/Paton a chance from the start? Quote
Ptayles Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Drop miller and play paton I would drop Fyvie just for his age andthe pressure he must be under but play crawford Quote
El Padre™ Posted August 26, 2009 Author Report Posted August 26, 2009 Drop miller and play paton I would drop Fyvie just for his age andthe pressure he must be under but play crawford Fyvie playing was a bit of a novelty and I'd much rather Gary Mac played if he's fit, but Crawford should play again to see if he can manage a full 90. maverick sheep Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Lose 2-1 to well and then reveal meldrum as the new coach in a shockingly cheap deal... I like conspiracy theories. Quote

manc_don Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Do i take it that it was a bore draw? Wasn't able to listen to the game and not been on the net all day. Quote
mizer Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Do i take it that it was a bore draw? Wasn't able to listen to the game and not been on the net all day. Aye, I was bored when listening to the game, had more fun with the dice function in the new live chat. Quote
dave_min Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Do i take it that it was a bore draw? Wasn't able to listen to the game and not been on the net all day. I can confirm it was a horrible game. Quote
Roccovellhung Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 First half was pish, we almost made Murderwell look half decent 2nd half was better though but we still lacked creativity Quote
quirie Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Must be a bit of agro on the train back to Glasgow as ive been getting texts from someone saying that anyone singing is getting lifted and that a couple of Aberdeen fans have been lifted by the fuzz. We seemed to change when Paton cme on. A lot more attack minded. Surely he's in line for a start by now. Fyvie did well again today. Think Considine was my MoM though Quote

tom_widdows Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 According to the BBC stats we only had 3 shots and not a single one of them was on target Motherwell on the other hand apparenlty had 8 of which only 1 was on target. Goalies & strikers were clearly justifying their wages today Quote
Kowalski Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Abysmal stuff. Lee Miller should be dropped asap, he doesn't look interested and was utter pish yesterday. Paton did well when he came on, probably did more in 45 minutes than anyone else over the whole match. 50 goals? No chance. Quote

Kowalski Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 I didn't think Mackie had a great game (and I normally defend him). There was nothing happening up front at all until Paton came on. Shocked to read we had no shots on target the whole match! Quote
