Kowalski Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 McGhee sets Aberdeen FC 50-goal target Pittodrie boss’ chart test challenge to players in race for Europe By Charlie Allan Published: 26/08/2009 THE pressure on the Aberdeen FC strikers to finish top of the goalscoring charts is about to increase. Manager Mark McGhee today claimed Aberdeen FC will have to net at least 50 league goals this season if they are to have any hope of stealing the SPL’s third spot off Hearts. He is challenging Aberdeen FC’s recognised strikers – Lee Miller, Darren Mackie, Chris Maguire and Tommy Wright – to deliver the bulk of those goals and has come up with a simple way of reminding them of their main task. McGhee revealed he is planning to post a chart on the dressing room wall at Pittodrie so that strikers, and their team-mates, can see for themselves who is – or isn’t – delivering.
