baggy89 Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Sone's back in toon It makes such a difference when you have a great manager who knows how to deal with the press in a professional manner. Pity Sone will miss tomorrows game due to that injury he is carrying. Quote

MM wants tyo look at his fitness, if he can play another 30 or so minutes tomorrow he gets to go and play in this fuck up of a comp. Quote
glasgowdon Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Well that puts a positive spin on things. We'll see what happens though. Quote
baggy89 Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Is it an injury or is it a fitness issue??? McGhee said it was an injury and that Sone was "limping". but With your insider knowledge I'm willing to take your word for it. It's no wonder Nigeria sent him home if Mcghee can't even get his players properly fit. Quote
minijc Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 He had an injury when he came back last week, he played against Falkirk where he looked nowhere near fit, the reason he was unfit was because of the training camp he was at. Being in the city (unlike some) you hear alot more than what meets the eye, you know, atleast I go and watch my team ya poofter. Quote
Northfield Quine Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Injury? MM wants tyo look at his fitness, if he can play another 30 or so minutes tomorrow he gets to go and play in this fuck up of a comp. It wasn't a fuck up of a cup when the Scots got to the final few years ago and MM let Reynolds and a few Well players take part. Aluko was always going to be fit to take some part of it and he HAD to turn up on tues as Nigerians wouldn't let him or others take any part if they didn't show up. I could see where the Sone was coming from. MM should have bought in replacements for when these players go on Internationals. Quote
minijc Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 McGhee wasn't stopping him from going, alot of people are missing this point, good to see that ALuko now has the right to fuck off when ever he wants, he isn't even from that country, fucking traitor. Quote
Northfield Quine Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Mcghee wanted him to be available for today's game simple. His family are from that country would not say he is a traitor. Also he is the only major player we have got. This should have been better handled by everyone at the club including Sone. Quote

minijc Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 fishing aside what do you actually think about this? It would be interesting if you posted your thoughts rather than just trying to see if you can get a reaction. Or are you just all about knee jerk reactions? My thoughts are that he was in the wrong and should face a fine, he was always getting to go but McGhee wanted him here this weekend, no big deal but to Aluko it was, took a strop and fucked off, I would like to see us stick him up for transfer at xmas time just to see if he improves his play and attitude. Kow, I wasn't fishing, to me, like McGheady he is a traitor. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Kow, I wasn't fishing You said: McGhee wasn't stopping him from going The Official AFC website said: Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee today confirmed Sone Aluko has joined up with the Nigeria Under 20 squad, at their Spanish training camp, for the forthcoming World Cup in Egypt, without the permission of the club. You're either stupid or fishing. Quote
bilbobaggins Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 I just looked up stupid in the dictionary and found you. Quote
minijc Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Aluko was always getting to go, McGhee wasn't saying "Right you, you arna getting to play, we have some diddy teams to play next week" it was more a case of "you'll get to go once we've played St Mirren, see how ft you are and if you can last the match" Aluko took a strop and fucked off to play for a country he had only recently been to. Quote
bilbobaggins Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 It's lucky you're around to hear more than meets the eye. Quote
manc_don Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 I'm glad he's come back and hope he's able to take part today. We knew there was a liklihood of this happening and whilst all parties have behaved somewhat immaturely, the club should have prepared for this over the summer.... Quote

Mulgrew further up and Grassi at LB? Quote
Kowalski Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Mulgrew further up and Grassi at LB? Turned out it was the other way around. Aluko was okay today, far from being the worst on the park. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Turned out it was the other way around. Aluko was okay today, far from being the worst on the park. What was Grassi like, Kow? (no points for saying "green, short stuff on the ground") Quote
Kowalski Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 What was Grassi like, Kow? (no points for saying "green, short stuff on the ground") Put in some good challenges but distribution was pretty poor at times. Should be a better left back than Mulgrew though. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Defenders defend, that's all I ask...if he challenges he's better than some we've had recently Quote
El Padre™ Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Defenders defend, that's all I ask...if he challenges he's better than some we've had recently He does tend to dither on the ball, that will be kicked out of him soon enough though, and aye his distribution was woeful so hopefully we won't see him in midfield too often. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Defenders defend, that's all I ask...if he challenges he's better than some we've had recently I agree, but he was playing left mid. Quote
Ajja Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Nigeria look like they are getting pumped out of the U20 WC already. Losing to Spain I think. Aluko might be back sooner than we think. Quote

Aluko might be back sooner than we think. They lost 2-0 to Spain but still have the tournament favourites Tahiti and fellow giants Venezuala still to play. Quote
