glasgowdon Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Don't you know that he's a rich man and he'll intimidate you with his wealth? In that case, we better surrender the domains right away. He's that rich he couldn't afford the .com Quote
Edinburghdon Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Don't you know that he's a rich man and he'll intimidate you with his wealth? Hmm i'm not sure about that, MIH has lost a packet lately haven't they?..... Quote
tsr Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Well... I'm sure AFC-Chat is not a trademark brand name, despite what they like to think. This website features chat about AFC hence afc-chat.com or whatever is a totally valid URL as is donstalk.co.uk and does not mislead in any way. What's LS going to do? Call the police? "Someone's is copying my URL! Hello?" Gay. Totally agree, LS is in my own experience a sound guy to be honest However on this one the site points to donstalk which is about chatting about AFC. I fail to see any breach of any law on this one, its not like it leads to a porn site or something, its leads to exactly what it says it will. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 its not like it leads to a porn site or something, Reekie, sort it out... Quote
mizer Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Reekie, sort it out... Something really bad so if you make a mistake in typing the URL the I.T. department will make sure you get sacked Quote
Ajja Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Well... I'm sure AFC-Chat is not a trademark brand name, despite what they like to think. "Someone's is copying my URL! Hello?" Gay. Correct. Under intellectual property legislation its referred to as being 'too descriptive'. If you are chatting about AFC then you cannot protect the term as it describes exactly what you do. It would be like being a bike shop in Edinburgh who are run as a co-operative trying to protect the name Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative, just can't be done. Not that I have any personal experience of such matters..... Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 LS is okish apart from being all over me like a cheap suit in madrid. He has got this one totally wrong. He just needs to get back to boasting about his income and he'll be fine. Is the right answer. Quote
