BigAl
Good news Take it given his age, this is as long a contract as we could tie him down to
baggy89
Who was the 3rd U16 captain then? This guy, Fyvie and...? McRobbie? Good news though. Seemed to be raving about him on the televised matches. Had also read somewhere that the club weren't too hopeful of him signing on, such was the interest from elsewhere. Slim
Who was the 3rd U16 captain then? This guy, Fyvie and...? Bagshaw wasn't it?
Harcus
Bagshaw wasn't it? speaking of whom. Formartine United have signed Andy Bagshaw. The former Dons and Peterhead forward has been a prolific goalscorer throughout his career. Recently he has had injury problems but now that they have been resolved he has put pen to paper to comit himself to FUFC until the end of season 2010/11. He has been training with FUFC since early in the season so the club is fully aware of his fitness level. In his early days at Pittodrie, he was presented as having the talent to make to the very highest level of the game. He is still in his early twenties and now that his injury problems seem to be resolved that remarkable potential is still there to be fulfilled. This is another big signing for he club. glasgow sheep
Grimmer was excellent vs Wales in the Victory Shield. Excellent news he has signed up with us, although if he gets anywhere near his potential I suspect we won't be seeing any more bootroom pics
Mentorred
Hopefully we can reap the benifits of him signing for the club

manc_don
Good news, hopefully he'll show as much charisma and potential as the three that have stepped up this season. Well done on Pawlett for signing a 4.5 year deal as well! Good day indeed, hopefully the others will follow suit.

Get Paton, Fyvie and Aluko on similar deals, and we can then dictate the price when/if big clubs come sniffing. Well done Aberdeen!
minijc
Why Aluko? What has he done to deserve a new deal, reekie?
Reekie_Red
A hell of a lot more than Lee Miller.
Ptayles
A hell of a lot more than Lee Miller. Did any one mention Miller getting a new contract But aluko should get a new deal if he gets his finger out of his arse
Reekie_Red
No, nobody mentioned Miller getting a new contract. I bet you we'll chuck a brand new contract at him next time though, and pray that he signs it - regardless of how shite he is this season. Ajja
Why Aluko? What has he done to deserve a new deal, reekie? He has established himself as one of the best talents in the SPL over the last 18 months and is knocking on the door of the Nigerian first team. Despite a poor season, he would still command a significant fee on the basis of his reputation. When he scores goals like he did against St Johnstone and Celtic, these are the barometers being used by other clubs to assess his ability and value. As week-in-week-out fans you may know something different but it matters not a shit. Perceived form is what drives the market so we should get him signed up if we want to see a decent roi. Is that enough ?

Is that enough ? Amen brother! But as Ally S says, it's all dependent on whether or not he wants to sign another contract with us. Obviously not being able to goto many games anymore I can't tell, but does he appear happy when he's playing for us? Or is he indifferent much like most of the "wiser" ones? Guest ally s
He doesn't appear unhappy but he's not playing anywhere near the level he reached last season.......yet. That could be to do with injury problems, international call up etc.
Tyrant
If we deemed Aluko not good enough for a new contract it'd be an abolute joke decision.
