Guest ally s Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 According to the Evening Express Paton has signed a 3 year deal. Nothing on the AFC website though. Good news assuming he has signed up. Quote

minijc Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Well done to Mark and the club for getting the deal done. Quote
dave_min Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Well done to Mark and the club for getting the deal done. Is it not the DoF who does contract deals? Quote
RDU_64 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Good news. Hopefully in the next few games, he can show us what he's made of in his preferred position. Quote
minijc Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Is it not the DoF who does contract deals? Whose idea was it to give him a new deal? Quote
bilbobaggins Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Well done to Mark and the club for getting the deal done. Seriously, take a day off. Quote

minijc Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Seriously, take a day off. Not allowed to be happy for a youth player signing an extended deal now? Quote
CtS Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Well done Jimmy for spotting the kid's talent and giving him his debut last season. Oh and well done Mark McGhee for inheriting a decent player. Quote
manc_don Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Great news, hopefully he'll get a few goals over the christmas period. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Excellent news. Yip, like his chances of making it. Quote
maverick sheep Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 That's quality. Looks quite tidy. Quote
redordead Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 nice to see the club using some business sense and ensuring they get something for the boy should he prove to be the genuine article. Which I think he may well be. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 nice to see the club using some business sense and ensuring they get something for the boy should he prove to be the genuine article. Which I think he may well be. Agreed. As much as I'd love them to play their entire playing careers at Aberdeen, I think it'll be our most obvious way of wiping out our debt if we can get Pawlett, Paton and Fyvie signed up on 3 or 4 year deals and then sell them asap. Two out of three have now been signed, and I can't see Fyvie moving yet. I think McGhee's £10million valuation of Fyvie is optimistic at best. But I see no reason why we can't get at least £10million for these three players together! Quote
El Padre™ Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalm down! I'll be surprised if we amass more than a million for any player at any time in the next 5 years. Quote
KGB Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 If we got 10 million then the boys would all be flying and as a result we would be reasonably succesful so fingers crosses although Im tending towards the view of Padre. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 I'd be happy to just get rid of the debt-noose from around our necks for the first time since Wiggy became chairman. Quote
