Stewart Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 He was here until the end of 02/03 Reekie. Quote
tsr Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Fairly sure Reekie that Theo gave an interview saying it was a mistake going to rangers. At the time it was well rumoured that rangers were after him, every season it seemed to come up. Gutted he went to rangers but still a legend. Quote
dave_min Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 That dave is a travesty - I remember Theo's debut at Dens Park he was incredible Well, all that means is you are probably old enough to be my mum. Quote
Guest ally s Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 No contest, it has to be Theo Quote
Kowalski Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 1. Snelders 2. Leighton 3. Kjaer 4. Langfield 5. Stillie Quote
Guest rocket debris Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 How anyone can have Theo above Leighton is beyond me. And never include Clangfuck in anything. That fud's a piece of shit. Quote
Guest ally s Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 If the poll was dated 1980 - 2010 then I'd have voted for Leighton. Imo Leighton didn't perform to the same level second time round. That's not to say he wasn't a good keeper during his second stint. Quote
BigAl Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 How anyone can have Theo above Leighton is beyond me. And never include Clangfuck in anything. That fud's a piece of shit. Would have Leighton ahead of Theo if it didn't specifically relate to Leighton's second spell with us Quote
Guest rocket debris Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Fair enuf. 1990 onwards. Still think Bolton are a horrible team but Coyle interviews well. Also don't agree with pancake Tuesday. Quote

That's not to say he wasn't a good keeper during his second stint. I agree was going to vote for Leighton but then realised we were talking about his 2nd stint so it has to be Theo Quote
Reekie_Red Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Theo without a doubt What a team!!! Quote
Guest rocket debris Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 What a team!!! A phenomenal team. The oft-unheralded Robertson was the best left back I ever saw at AFC. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Would have Leighton ahead of Theo if it didn't specifically relate to Leighton's second spell with us Agreed. This is why I chose not to include any of the players who played before 1990 ... otherwise, we'd just have the starting lineup from Gothenburg, plus Charlie Nicholas. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 A phenomenal team. The oft-unheralded Robertson was the best left back I ever saw at AFC. That was Ian Robertson in that game. I'd imagine he wasn't the best left back you saw at AFC as he was utter ding. Agreed. This is why I chose not to include any of the players who played before 1990 ... otherwise, we'd just have the starting lineup from Gothenburg, plus Charlie Nicholas. I wouldn't have Rougvie, McMaster or Cooper in mine... Quote
Reekie_Red Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 No place for Rougvie?! Hardest player this side of ... aaaaaah, me thinks you might be looking forward to the midfielder poll when Bisconti and Richardson are there. Quote

Hardest player this side of ... aaaaaah, me thinks you might be looking forward to the midfielder poll when Bisconti and Richardson are there. No, no... just McKimmie and Robertson would have been my full backs. I'd pick Granty ahead of Bisconti and Rico too Quote
tsr Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Take it Ryan Esson posts on this site for him to have gained a vote. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Agreed. Yeah but as I said above is there going to be any player from later than the mid 90s that will get anywhere near the team? Quote
Reekie_Red Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Jess, Stavrum and Anderson probably the only ones Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Stavrum? Ahead of Shearer, Gillhaus, Booth and Prunty? Quote
Kowalski Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 and Prunty? Agree though. Stavrum was great but I can't see him getting in this team. We will have a plethora of great strikers to choose from. Those were the days. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted January 14, 2010 Author Report Posted January 14, 2010 Stavrum? Ahead of Shearer, Gillhaus, Booth and Prunty? I stand corrected Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Reekster - are you doing the rest of this or is our team just consisting of Theo? Quote
bilbobaggins Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Aye, whilst I have a suspicion we'll all have 8 or 9 of the same players it's been a good read so far. Just don't try and upgrade the thread Reekie Quote
