ST Johnstone groundstaff are pulling out all the stops to ensure it’s game on for Aberdeen’s visit to Perth on Saturday.

“It’s disappointing that the Forfar game is off again but we were expecting the news and at least we got an early decision,†said McInnes.

“Now all our focus and preparation is geared towards Aberdeen this weekend. Hopefully we’ll get our first game since Boxing Day.

“They will have played two games while we have been inactive so we have to make sure our training is geared towards sharpness and having a competitive edge.

“Hopefully we will see the players taking out their frustration at being without a game on Aberdeen.

“It seems an eternity since we last played so we are looking forward to their visit.

“There is a real determination here to get the game on.

“Hopefully the weather will be kind to us.

Countless tons of snow have to be moved from the McDiarmid surface and surroundings over the next few days.

Sustained sub-zero temperatures have taken their toll on the stadium and workmen are tackling burst pipes and frozen areas.

Managing director Stewart Duff said: “We are doing our very best to get the Aberdeen game on. We want this match to go ahead.

“The forecast suggests daytime temperatures above freezing so hopefully that gives us a helping hand.

“There is a lot of work involved in the stands and we are doing everything we can to clear the car park and surrounding areas.

“Unfortunately, the Muirton Suite will be out of action if the game does go ahead and we apologise to fans who will be inconvenienced. Pipes burst and flooded the suite.â€

The Foundry is still open. Do you still have my number? I'm meeting Scotty and a few Saints fans pre match but we should try and meet up. Could easy head across to the Foundry.

I have Scotty's number if I do not have yours. He mentioned that you were going to the game when I spoke to him at the game on Tuesday. Will give you a shout when we get to Perth.

Any tips on where is best to park the motor???

Our plans is to hit perth early, get some food the go to the match - food is obviously town center but McDiarmid is miles out of town... also dont really fancy getting caught in the car park..  Any ideas?

p.s. the loft is mint.

Plenty street parking in Letham just up the hill from the ground, takes around five minutes to drive there from toon.

Someone had said previously that behind B&Q was a good spot and def don't park in Tescos as they are pretty hot on cars in there on matchdays.
