Sweetchuck Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Same garbage we got last year about Jomo Cosmos - never going to happen. That fat scab prick still churns out this shite day in, day out, though. Has Katongo arrived yet, Charlie? Quote
BigAl Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Nae defending the fat postie, but in fairness to him he is just regurgitating the piss reported in most of todays rags Quote
Sweetchuck Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Posted July 18, 2007 It was reported yesterday in the EE, which means that most of today's papers will have picked it up from that blivet. Quote
Leerichardson40yrds Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 The BBC has the same story today. It is the same story as last year. Quote

Leerichardson40yrds Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 From the BBC website- Aberdeen have been offered the opportunity to link up with Egyptian side Al Ittihad to secure some of Africa's most promising players. The Dons are currently on tour in Egypt, and Al Ittihad director Sherif Ibrahim said: "We can send the best talent to Aberdeen for our benefit. "We are seeking Aberdeen's help to establish a more professional structure to make us the leading side in Egypt." Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood added: "I think this can only help Aberdeen." Aberdeen take on Arab Contractors, Al Aliminum and Al Ittihad to shape up in time for the new Premier League season, and Ibrahim told the Scottish Daily Express of his club's wish to learn from their Scottish visitors. "Some of our players could in the future, be sold on to bigger clubs in Europe to the mutual benefit of Aberdeen and Al Ittihad. "We are the eyes of Africa and there are many players just as talented as Mido, but they must be developed," he added. "We have contacts throughout the continent, especially in Tunisia and Algeria, but these players need to move abroad to improve." The idea will be discussed by the Pittodrie board next week. Quote

Hahahahahaha. All they've done is print the exact same story as last year, only they've stuck the word 'Egypt' in there inna :-) So it's really a question of whether the EE's senior sports correspondent is lazier than he is stupid, or more stupid than he is lazy. Okey dokey mate. didn't know it was in the EE last night. Didn't mean to sound like I was having a pop - not at you anyway. How many people are killed by camels each year? Could the worst journalist in the history of sports journalism become a welcome statistic himself? Quote
