manc_don Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 We're 8th now after St. Johnstone managed to get 3 points at Falkirk today. Though a good result for us was Hearts losing to Motherwell today. Our faint hopes of a top 6 finish are still alive, albeit by the thinnest thread ever. Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 Does this make us under dogs going into tuesday? Not sure about underdogs but Tuesday is a massive game for us. 7 points behind Hearts with 2 games in hand, if we can win both of them it puts them under huge pressure and they're all over the place at the moment. Very optimistic Mr B - I am thinking we will struggle to win any games before the spilt - well maybe Ibrox Quote
Reekie_Red Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I'm actually quite glad StJ beat Failkirk today. Means the 10 pt gap between us and bottom is maintained. Quote
Roccovellhung Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Motherwell going great guns and Pa Broon doing a superb job so far. Kinda blows oor 'season of transition' excuses oot the water considering they've bought more or less a new team and are on their second manager this season. Quote
Mentorred Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I am hoping the break will have benifited us and we will come out refreshed and ready to go. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Got to wonder where their money is coming from, considering they were in administration only a handful of years ago. We, on the otherhand, have never been in administration, yet we struggle to rub two haepennies together Quote
El Padre™ Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Incidentally, I know our pitch is bad but Motherwells pitch is as bad as I've ever seen it. Its criminal that they're not being pounded for it. Quote

Reekie_Red Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 I wasn't aware they had spent any money on new players or bringing in a new management team? Still would've had to pay the old management team out of their contracts. Wish we had money to do that. Unfortunately, we've only got a multimillionnaire running the club. Quote

Unfortunately, we've only got a multimillionnaire running the club. I don't think Gannon ever signed a contract so I'd be surprised if they had to pay much if anything to get rid. I'd also be very surprised if they've signed a whole new team. Quote
manc_don Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Was thinking the same thing last night jager. God its been a shit season we really need the 3 points today. Quote
dave_min Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 God its been a shit season And thats being polite! Quote
Reekie_Red Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Oh FFS. Nine points off relegation, with all the teams below us in-form! That is worrying. No league-expansion will save us this term. The only that's gonna fix this is binning McGhee and hoping that the successor is marginally better. Quote
Kowalski Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Can see us finishing 10th or 11th as Falkirk, St Mirren and Killie will be fighting for their lives post-split, and they'll beat us on current form. Quote
CtS Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 I agree Kow, can't imagine we'll be bottom becuase it would take a freakish set of results for all the teams below us to gain enough points to overtake us. However the very fact we're even talking about the threat of relegation is painfully depressing. Quote
