Jute
Can see why he would go there. Not only will he get more money he will raise his profile with bigger English clubs playing in the championship. Increased exposure for Dorrans and Adam this season has got them on the radar of EPL clubs. No reason same cannot happen for O'Brien. El Padre™
McGhee wastes his time on a player that he knows won't move to us? NO WAY?
Guest ally s
What's wrong with that? When the odds are released for next season I doubt there will be many bookies who don't have Barnsley down as relegation candidates. haha very good

BigAl
Can forget Rooney & Hayes as well, as targets for Doncaster
Tyrant
McGhee wastes his time on a player that he knows won't move to us? NO WAY? If he doesn't go for the better players he's lacking ambition and if he does he's wasting time. It couldn't (and didn't) do any harm to ask. It couldn't (and didn't) do any harm to ask. Hardly. He puts all his eggs in one basket and has no plan B when it goes tits up. His signing policy or whatever you want to call it is disastrous and is exactly why his second season at Motherwell went tits up.

His signing policy or whatever you want to call it is disastrous and is exactly why his second season at Motherwell went tits up. Nothing to do with the huge injury list and Phil O'Donnell's death? If I remember correctly were they not in and around 3rd place until round about Dec/Jan/Feb time?

Mentorred
Phil O'Donnell died half way through the season they finished 3rd I think that brought the team closer together and helped them finish higher

It did us loads of harm last summer when he fannied about telling us that Stephen Hughes might sign when every fucking dons fan in the country knew he wouldn't!!! RDU_64
Dundee have released nine players - including player of the year Jim Lauchlan - and told four others they are free to find new clubs. It follows the club's failure to win Division One and promotion. Tony Bullock, Derek Soutar, Eddie Malone, Gary MacKenzie, David Cowan, Colin Cameron, Darren Young, Bob Malcolm and Lauchlan are released. Ritchie Hart, Maros Klimpl, Chris Casement and Bryan Deasley have been told they are no longer wanted. Should those four leave over the summer, manager Gordon Chisholm will be minus 16 players - half his present squad - with on-loan Ryan O'Leary, Andrew Shinnie and Ben Hutchinson returning to their parent clubs. Dundee had started the season as favourites, having outspent most Scottish Premier League clubs in building their squad, and had led for much of the season before a late dip in form allowed resurgent Inverness Caledonian Thistle to win promotion. There are good pros amongst the guys who I've had to let go, but this place needs change Dundee manager Gordon Chisholm Chisholm took charge in March after Dundee sacked Jocky Scott following four games without a win, although they were still top of the table at that stage. Dundee went on to win three of their nine games under Chisholm and finished second, 12 points adrift of Caley Thistle. And the new manager has stated that his preference is to reduce the size of the squad but has also already targeted new players for next season. "It's been a difficult day," Chisholm told Dundee's website. "There are good pros amongst the guys who I've had to let go, but this place needs change if we are going to get to where we want to be. "It's really not a nice thing to do and I'd like to thank them for their efforts in Dundee's colours. "The SPL season hasn't finished yet and there will be a lot of guys available over the summer. "We're not going to be rushed and we'll look at it in the weeks ahead." Worth a look? Klimpl?
El Padre™
I could see McGhee going for FTP and Klimpl. Unfortunately.

Tyrant
Both are pish, no thanks. I admit that I know very little about them but I find it hard to believe they're worse than Kerr and McDonald!
Guest ally s
Malcolm and Klimpl are definitely worse than Kerr. Even if they are better than Gary Mac that's hardly a ringing endorsement is it?

baggy89
Was linked but not sure if that was just the press speculation or genuine interest. Wasn't there some quoted interest from Kimpl in joining us and I think some quote from McGhee saying he was a good player but not someone he would be pursuing?
