Madbadteacher Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Sooooooo, At this point in time we now have a smaller, weaker squad than last season, when it was only good enough to just avoid a relegation battle. And not much seems to be going on to rectify this state of affairs :hammer: Marshall must have been worth keeping on for another year particularly at the rate we're losing midfielders Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Marshall must have been worth keeping on for another year particularly at the rate we're losing midfielders I take it you never saw him play? Quote
manc_don Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I take it you never saw him play? Thats what amused me about the article, saying that the scout had gone to watch him and been impressed. When? He didn't play much after his first couple of games? Quote

Jute Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 He's no loss, to slow. Agreed. Cannot understand how whoever watched him before we signed him never noticed his lack of pace. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 So....... Anything? Nothing? How long we got left, around 6 weeks to sign 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 re-sign McDonald? Haven't paid much attention to other clubs. Are they as 'active' as we are? Quote
baggy89 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Ogbonna is an interesting one, wonder where this interest has come from. It's a level higher than the league that Charlie Austin came from (he's done well at Swindon last season) but he is no where near as prolific as Austin was. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Aberdeen FC’s ‘waiting game’ for new signings Miller’s message to Pittodrie fans By Charlie Allan Published: 21/06/2010 ABERDEEN FC chief Willie Miller today admitted they are playing a waiting game in the hunt for new signings. Aberdeen FC football director Miller believes delaying completing any transfer deals will ensure the club get the best value possible for their money this summer. More than 400 players were released at the end of last season. Players union boss Fraser Wishart has even expressed fears that some SPL clubs may have to go part-time. But Miller insisted: “Our patience will be rewarded.” Fucking better be. Quote
Jute Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Is that not what we said last year then ended up scrambling about for anyone who will come at the end of August. Quote
mizer Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/1798588 French ace wants to sign up with Aberdeen FC FRENCH midfield ace Guillaume Beuzelin today revealed he wants to sign for Aberdeen FC. The 31-year-old former Hibs play-maker is a free agent after leaving Cypriot side Olympiakos Nicosia. Aberdeen FC boss Mark McGhee is in the market for a creative midfielder, and ex-Coventry City player Beuzelin insisted he fits the bill. He said: “Aberdeen FC are a huge club and I would love to play for them.” Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 5 years ago he'd have been perfect for us. Not sure how good/fit he is these days though. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Definately worth a year's contract if you ask me. Quote
Harcus Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Meanwhile, former Wanderers striker Zoltan Harsanyi is said to be close to signing for SPL club Aberdeen. From Bolton News. Quote

tlg1903 Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Oooo I would snap him up, never a player that was blessed with pace so don't see his age as an issue. A player that can really pick a pass, something we are crying out for Quote
maverick sheep Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Oooo I would snap him up, never a player that was blessed with pace so don't see his age as an issue. A player that can really pick a pass, something we are crying out for I agree with this, but also with the point that I'm not as excited as I would have been 5 years ago. It's his attitude I'd worry about most but I'd love to have someone with even half his passing ability. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 It would just be nice to have another player! Quote
Sandaldinho Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 It would just be nice to have another player! i kinda feel the same Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 5 years ago he'd have been perfect for us. Not sure how good/fit he is these days though. Would be my thoughts too, never really convinced me at all anyway even at his best which he is probably well beyond. Quote
manc_don Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Agree with pretty much what has been said, 5 years ago, I would have been more than happy, not sure how he fares these days though. But there's no doubting his talent, and it certainly would be nice to see a signing....who can actually pass the ball to another team mate. Quote
tsr Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 I think it would be a great signing, being 31 isn't an issue its whether he wants it enough as the talent is definitley there. Quote
