Sandaldinho Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 was reading a post this morning http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A65332956 was interested in the bit about the playing surface. everyone can see that the pitch we are playing on is a tattie field, making playing football difficult at the best of times. i've not been to Pittodrie this season and have only managed the Raith game in Kdy (again the pitch was attrocious) but was wondering if this could be a factor in our poor form just now, and if so how much of a factor? mizer Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Its definitely not helping but other team can play better and doesn't explain anyway near the disorganisation at the back and the lack of ball to the strikers. Quote
dave_min Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 It's a small factor, but more of an excuse. The other team plays on the same pitch too. Quote
Mentorred Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 It's a small factor, but more of an excuse. The other team plays on the same pitch too. Yes but the other teams don't play the silky skillfull football that Aberdeen do. Quote
mizer Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Yes but the other teams don't play the silky skillfull football that Aberdeen do. Ifil is about as silky as P12 grade sand paper being furiously rubbed on your bawsack by an amputee sadistic dominatrix. Quote

RDU_64 Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Does he no take them doon to whatever park they used to have training sessions on?! Quote
tlg1903 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 If you look around at the pitches all through the spl they are looking very shabby. The winter obviously hasn't helped but apparently undersoil heating doesn't help either. Takes up a lot of space and the grass can't root as well as it should meaning its not as resilient. Quote
tsr Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Pitch was looking a bit better Saturday, think by the time we play St Johnstone it may even be playable. Quote
