mizer Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20100427/dons-pair-_2212158_2036784 DONS PAIR MOVING ON The Dons have confirmed that defender Jonathan Crawford (20) and midfielder Nicky Clark (19) will not be offered new contracts when their current deals expire at the end of next month. Along with keeper John Bateman, the pair have spent much of the current season on loan at Peterhead while Jonathan made his Aberdeen first team debut in the 3-0 SPL win at Hamilton last August. Everyone at the Club wishes Jonathan and Nicky all the very best for the future. I thought they were both ones to keep an eye on Quote
dave_min Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 They'll be at Peterhead by August. They're both already there Quote
RDU_64 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Crawford seemed to fall out of contention pretty spectacularly after the Dundee capitulation in the League Cup. Quote
tsr Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Yeah, don't think either have done well on loan at Peterhead either so was not a surprise. Quote
steems Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Yeah, don't think either have done well on loan at Peterhead either so was not a surprise. Nicky Clark just received the Peterhead Young Player of the Year award at the weekend - has done quite well whenever I seen him, although he had a nightmare against Brechin away when McGhee and Robertson was there watching. Quote
tsr Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Did not know that, surely McGhee wouldn't have made decision based on that one game but had heard they weren't doing well. What about Bateman? I heard he's being released as well? Quote
El Padre™ Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 I thought that with a bit of decent coaching Crawford would have been an OK backup player. Shame. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Nicky Clark just didn't make the cut. He did show it in streaks though. Hair today, gone tomorrow. Quote
dave_min Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 How long you been dye-ing to say that ST? Quote
Kowalski Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 To be fair, he was not given a chance of being on the fringe of the first team. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Because he's worth it? Apparently not. Quote
Sandaldinho Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Nicky Clark just didn't make the cut. He did show it in streaks though. Hair today, gone tomorrow. he was on the fringe of the first team Quote
Mentorred Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 I heard he was utter (sham)poo when he was out on loan. With his skill I thought he would be head and shoulders above the rest of the squad Quote
McMaster Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Ach they were both out of condition (er). You have to stay Trim in this game. I am sure if they got a good coach like Alan Combe they would do well. Quote
