BobbyBiscuit Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I think McGhee was right to offer 6 months but what has Grassi done to merit 1 year? Fk all and it strikes me of desperate. to be blunt, what has he done to merit half a year? Given how difficult it is to get business done in the January window (or so it seems, anyway), was MM really confident of picking up someone better had Grassi not impressed in those six months? Quote
Ptayles Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 In his defence...I thought he was coming on quite well nearer the end of the season Quote
Guest leith_red Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I thought 1st April was earlier in the year? I can't wait to see what this new team is going to look like.... Nope - still the same date it always it. Think they may have moved April fools day to today, though. Quote
Slim Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 As long as it's not at the expense of a proper left back, I'm not too disappointed, at least we know what his limitations are and what we can expect from him which saves us the hassle of bringing in another posse of journeyman trialists and settling on the least worst. Miller has already confirmed that it is. He said in the daily retard at the start of the week that Mulgrew would not be replaced as we already had Foster and Grassi to cover left back. Quote
dave_min Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Shite signing. Shit player. Nice guy. Not good enough imo. Quote

To be fair Miller also said that the 6 month contract offer was non negotiable so I wouldn't rule anything out! Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Enormously underwhelming news. A poor player who stood out as poor in a poor season. Quote

The reason why we were a ball hair frem a full on relegation battle was because of thier refusal to replace those who have left whith those of a decent standard for r YEARS now. If Miller thinks that that continuing with this policy is acceptable then the squad is utterly fucked. Quote

capitalsharpie Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 Miller will tell you that the club doesn't have a choice. Until faced with relegation money will appear from thin air to pay Mark McGhee and the coaching staff off which would have been better of being invested in the quality of playing staff to begin with.
