mizer Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Three easy games to start the season against Hamilton at hame, a trip to Perth and again hame to Killie. How many points should we be taking? Quote
19afc03 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 7 points ... 3 v Accies 1 v St J's 3 v Killie STAND FREE!! ............. Do you have your Season Ticket yet? Quote
glasgow sheep Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 shit didn't read the first post and thought you were asking how many points we WOULD get and not SHOULD, so said 4 (which I thought was optimistic) Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Remember all the bitching we did (as well as JC) about having really tough starts to the season? And then, as if by magic we got ICT at home.. they'd never beaten us, anywhere. Three points in the bag... D'OH. Same again, no doubt. EDIT: and we should be getting 9 points. Quote
Jute Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Should be 9 and 7 at worst. Any less and we will really struggle this season. Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Should be 9 and 7 at worst. Any less and we will really struggle this season. 100% agree. If this team has any illusions of performing, even adequately, this coming season, that should be the ideal start. Quote
Mentorred Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 7 points ... 3 v Accies 1 v St J's 3 v Killie STAND FREE!! ............. Do you have your Season Ticket yet? That's what I am predicting, well more would settle for at worse. If we don't get atleast 7 points then Mcghee has to go before we get dragged into another relegation battle. Quote
octavion Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Should be 9 . Any less and we will have to lay seige to pittodrie and remove the shite ourselfs Quote
manc_don Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 It should be 9 points, I'd accept 6, but it'll probably be 4. We have to bare in mind that we are always slow starters. If we're struggling by christmas then mcghee would have to go. But lets hope it doesn't come to that. Quote
Roccovellhung Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 A depressing 4 for me. Can't remember the last time I went into a season with such trepidation. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I think 6 points would be acceptable. Same here. 2 home wins, nothing from the away game is what we should be realistically hoping for. Quote
Jute Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Cannot believe folk are saying losing to any of those three team is acceptable. Quote
Harcus Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Cannot believe folk are saying losing to any of those three team is acceptable. +1 Quote
tsr Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Cannot believe folk are saying losing to any of those three team is acceptable. I expect two home wins, St Johnstone are a decent team and to date we have not improved our squad. We can only answer the thread at the current time but until we sign some new players I don't see us being able to expect to go down to Perth and get a result...I'm not saying we won't either just a case of accepting 6 out of 9 as being a decent start. Kowalski Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Cannot believe folk are saying losing to any of those three team is acceptable. Did you go to many games last season? Quote
Guest ally s Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Did you go to many games last season? I went to the vast majority of games last season and I'd find it unacceptable losing to any of those 3. Quote
stoney Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Wow nothing but the championship this season then lols 2 wins and a draw would be a good start, first game of the season is always good to get a win against but hamilton a stuff stuff team who always come up defensive, something we have always struggled against! Will be more hopefull once we make a couple more signings. Too quite for my liking! Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 All 9! Nothing less will do Mark! Quote
BigAl Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I went to the vast majority of games last season and I'd find it unacceptable losing to any of those 3. Ally, unacceptable yes, but beyond the realms of possibiity no. Think we could lose to any of them right now, but once we get our ten new signings, who knows Quote
wee toon red Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I can't honestly believe anyone still thinks we have some kind of right to be taking a guaranteed three points from anyone in the SPL. Even in seasons when we were doing a hell of a lot better than last year it would still have been mental to expect maximum points from any three-game sequence. 9 points would be excellent, 7 still pretty good and 6 plenty acceptable. We should be looking to win home games like those but a point from any away game would be decent. Quote
