Edinburghdon Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 The tension is just unbelievable Never thought we stood a chance at start of play today I thought we had an outside chance after poulters heroics yesterday, today has been beyond anything i could imagine though! Quote

BigAl Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Possibly the greatest come back in the history of golf Just FUCKING brilliant Have never been a huge fan of Poulter but I will be in the future. His finish of last night was surely the inspiration for today's fight back Quote

dandy Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Just amazing and Jose's emotion at the end when he dedicated it to Seve would have brought a tear to a glass eye!! Quote

His finish of last night was surely the inspiration for today's fight back Normally I'm not all that much of a fan either, when it comes to this competition though he's Mr Ryder Cup. He was incredible yesterday, he started it off and every single one of them finished the job tonight. Woods missing his putt on the last so Molinari halved the match was an unexpected bonus too! Well played Paul Lawrie too, great performance today! Quote
CtS Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 I'd love to see a montage of all the 'USA' clips from the last few days, Bradley, Bubba, the fans, the fist pumps etc etc... Get it right fucking up ya. Quote

Tyrant Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Wow! This is the second time in my life that I've watched golf on TV. The first being pretty recently also although I can't remember the name of the tournament. I've never been a huge fan of golf, especially watching it on TV but you'd have to have been deid (or not have Sky Sports) to not be glued to the TV last night. Amazing viewing. The yank fans annoyed me but I figured we'd be exactly the same when it's over here? Anyway. Kaymer held his nerve really well. I was about shitting myself! Amazing stuff. Quote

BigAl Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 http://espn.go.com/golf/rydercup12/story/_/id/8434982/ryder-cup-all-locked-us Great find CtS. That should have been all Jose needed as a locker room talk pre the singles Quote
glasgowdon Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Again, like Murray's win in the US Open, that was a privilege to watch. The look on Bradley's greeting face was excellent. Really pleased for Lawrie as well, great round. Quote
Kowalski Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 I can't normally abide Poulter but when it comes to the Ryder Cup, he is this generation's Seve or Monty. Cracking nights entertainment. What a year of sport it's been! Quote
maverick sheep Posted October 1, 2012 Author Report Posted October 1, 2012 had 40 quid on the bottling yank arseholes. still very much enjoyed seeing them get what they deserved. total arseholes. the look on all their faces at the ceremony was priceless. get it right fucking roon ya! raging about the money tho. Tyrant Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Gambling's a mug's game. That's why I only do it when I know I'll win. Quote

Tyrant Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 I fucking should be. My gambling record is amazing. Although probably only because I don't do it that often. The £20 I placed on Murray to win the US Open after the Wimbledon final was a masterstroke if I do say so myself. Quote
Kowalski Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 I don't think it's a good idea if Monty becomes 2014 Ryder Cup captain. The days of captains doing it more than once has passed (although Tom Watson has captained before). I can see why they are maybe considering him, as Tom Watson is probably going to be a very tough captain to come up against, but it's probably time for somebody else to lead Europe. I guess we'll find out tomorrow afternoon. Quote

Could be a decent shout. I also notice Darren Clarke has taken himself out of the running after his recent good form, can't see him making the next Ryder cup team but I guess he has to try!
